Lejos Eco Retreat

Our host Patricia and her entire team were gracious and inviting. It was one of the coolest and most enjoyable environments- high on the hills overlooking the sea, replete with natural beauty and wild horses. The cafe and breakfast service were most convenient, allowing us to stay and relax without leaving the property. It was a true retreat!!

Honestly we loved the place and geographically it’s remote- and this is the charm and allure of Lejos.

The room was very comfortable and clean. It’s also a perfect place to stargaze at night due to the elevation and minimal light pollution in Vieques. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

The location was as expected at the top of the hills with good views and quiet. The room was well appointed and comfortable. On most nights there is a Tapas bar on site and the food is quite good.

They are no longer serving breakfast. This was a complete shock we learned upon arrival and quite inconvenient given the 15-20 minute rides to either town. In those towns there are restaurants but grocery stores are minimally stocked given the remoteness of Vieques so there is no opportunity to pick up good stuff (eg, fruit, cheese, etc) to bring back for breakfast. Our breakfast became store bought granola bars and an apple. To date, we have not heard back on our request for a credit reflecting the lack of the breakfast as had been listed on this site.
