Absolutely beautiful cottage and stunning views. There's plenty of dog walks nearby and the garden is dog proof, so they can't escape. We've a small jack Russel and she couldn't get out. No shops nearby. Closest supermarket is around 5 miles away, so next time we go we'll be better prepared. We have absolutely no complaints, except there wasn't a potato peeler, was a bit of a nuisance having to use a knife, but hardly something to complain about. We've booked again in March.

We have visited Bank Cottage in the past years. It is a lovely cosy cottage, well maintained and has everything you need for any length of stay. The views are so beautiful no matter what time of year you visit. Our stay was full of great walks in the Wye Valley Forest and we actually found the Cleddon Falls which was an amazing walk. Our dog enjoyed all the excercise and made himself at home in the evening next to the log fire. I would highly recommend Bank Cottage. The host is very helpful and always answers any questions you may have. Will defo be booking to stay again next year. Plenty to do for the children on a wet day, plenty of games and Dvds available. A very cosy cottage, quiet and peaceful away from everything. Great garden too very safe for dogs and children.

The best thing about this property is the stunning views of the Wye Valley. I can't imagine anything better than sitting on the terrace in the summer enjoying those views! The property itself is lovely, clean and well presented. Well equipped - the only thing missing is an electric kettle - the stove top one is nice but takes an age to boil and rather noisy when you are trying to make a quiet cup of tea first thing in the morning!! Beds were clean and very comfortable. Water pressure for the shower not great. The location is very quiet. It's at the end of a very narrow lane, with some sharp bends, bigger cars may have trouble! The owner provides clear instructions on how to find it. Nothing really going on in the village; the village has closed and the pub is uninviting and has no character. There is a footpath leading down to the village but is very steep and care should be taken when wet and cold. If you don't mind a climb, there are lots of walks from the door.

A great cottage, perfect for our getaway. I found tricky to find in the dark, so make sure you are prepped with directions from owner (worked in daylight) plus back up e.g. what3words

Arrived at 21:30 in the pitch black and to see the sun rise over the Wye valley from the terrace the next morning was worth every penny. We had a lovely break walking around the forest of Dean and the Anchor at Tintern, next to the Abbey is good place for a meal.

Just had a most enjoyable week with our dog at Bank Cottage. This is our third stay here as the location and the accommodation is first class. There is so much to do on the Wye be it walking, canoeing or taking a boat trip. After busy days we were able to come back and enjoy the sun deck under a canopy overlooking the valley - if you are deciding where to stay just book this -you won’t be disappointed!

We were so pleased to find this little gem of a cottage at short notice. It’s in a beautiful area, has a lovely garden and the view is fantastic. The house itself has everything you would need. The nearest supermarket is a Lidl around 15 mins away. There is a village shop but that’s closed and looks like it has been for some time. We would love to come again!
