Tony and Lali were warm and welcoming hosts, we felt very at home in their guesthouse. We enjoyed the lovely spacious terrace looking out onto the mountains and the food was excellent - we really appreciated the range of dishes, such a great choice. Plus, before leaving Tony kindly helped us fix our broken trekking pole! Very kind.

Can I give this place a 20? We had such a wonderful time here that I would tell any traveler in Svaneti that they should go out of their way to spend a nice quiet night or two with Tony and (Lani???- sorry!!!) in Etseri. What a magical little valley, with the kindest, most welcoming hosts you could imagine. We had a rough day getting there (hiked for 9 hours, hitch-hiked for 2 hours on the highway, then bounced around for 2 hours in the tow truck that picked us up!) We arrived at the Spar at 8pm and booked the room on the spot. The late booking in the slower season caught the hosts by surprise, but they had a room ready for us (big, spacious, warm, clean, cozy) and miraculously, 30 minutes later they had a 10 course meal prepared. I honestly don't know how this was possible- we were the only guests staying there at the time, and we booked at 8pm! Breakfast was just as good, and they were the best company and the most wonderful people. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Georgia this will be our first stop. Thanks for making us feel so at home. :)

Perfect location, with a comfortable and well setup space, this is such a great place to stay. Hosts were very flexible and really looked after me. Would recommend to anyone!
