Located in Kea-Kythnos, this attractive villa for $814 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Situated in an enviable position overlooking the cosmopolitan Vourkari, with a large private pool and breathtaking sea and bay views, Villa Faros will delight visitors. Made with local stone, and with a contemporary edge, this chic villa has bright, spacious interiors and polished cement floors. There are four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, over three levels. The ground level has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room leading out onto the large private pool (with natural salt chlorination and uninterrupted views) and terraced area. The pool area has a large patio with two large pergolas for dining and relaxing, as well as a stone built barbecue. From the ground level staircases lead upstairs and down stairs to the bedrooms. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom featuring a picture window with stunning sea views, a private terrace for relaxing and an en-suite bathroom. Downstairs are three further bedrooms one king and two twin all with French doors leading out onto the lower level patio and gardens. The gardens are landscaped over several levels with olive and fig trees, bougainvillea and aromatic shrubs. A private pathway or "monopati" leads 100 metres past a small church to the sea, and Vourkari with its yachts, tavernas, cafés and boutiques. The view is stunning from every place, and hours can be idled away watching yachts and fishermen's boats in the natural marina below, and the odd tanker in the Aegean sea beyond. As night falls, the sunset is truly spectacular. Switch off the garden lights and outdoor music and count shooting stars to the sound of cicadas. The odd flash of St Nikolaos' lighthouse perfects the scene. The island has great beaches which can be reached on foot and by car, the closest to Villa Faros being Gialiskari which is a 10 minute walk. Villa Faros is easily reached and perfectly located villa for families or groups of friends wanting to experience summer life on one of Greece's best kept secrets. This villa is really well set-up for families, with a great pool and excellent view of Vourkari. The hosts are most friendly and helpful, providing a useful guide and arranging things like restaurant reservations and babysitting. Worth noting that 1 of the 4 bedrooms doesn't have an air-conditioning unit, and the access to the property is an unpaved track. Although you can walk to Vourkari it would be difficult for smaller children.

We had a marvellous holiday in Villa Faros. The house is beautifully located and the view, with the most spectacular sunsets, can be enjoyed from indoors and out. The layout worked very well for our party with very comfortable beds and well appointed shower rooms. Everything was clean and well presented. The housekeeper was very helpful and did an excellent job. The outside was gorgeous with plenty of different areas to sit and relax, the right amount of sun beds and the pool is superb. One of the best points is the location. A short walk down a path leads you to the harbour side where there are plenty of restaurants and bars and even a small supermarket. We especially enjoyed the ice cream parlour! This gave the teenagers in our group just the right amount of independence. It is easy to explore the rest of the island and all the stunning beaches that, even in the height of the summer, you can have to yourself. We can’t wait to return!
