Very well kept Hotel. Reception staff were very welcoming and polite. Room was good size, nice bathroom. Very clean.
Breakfast Bar offered a wide range of hot and cold foods. English full breakfast was really good.

Did a one-night stopover on a business trip. Car parking was good. Friendly check-in. Room was a long walk but comfortable. Leisure facilities were OK, nice warm pool. Breakfast was good.

It was quite noisy from traffic as I was in a room overlooking the main road, and the bed was a bit hard. Next time I'll ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

It wasn't clean. We changed the room, but the 2nd room wasn't really clean either. In the hotel, all the doors were dirty, the floor was sticky, even in the breakfast area. At breakfast there was cake from the day before. I always ate the same cake for breakfast for 10 days in England, also in another Holiday Inn and the cake was partly from the day before. Unfortunately, the dishes were not clean either. You always had to look at breakfast to see what kind of cup or plate you were taking. The staff is the only positive thing about this hotel. They are very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, we will never book Holiday Inn again. We booked 3 hotels of this hotel chain on our trip and all of them were not good. The hotel in Rochester was unfortunately particularly dirty. Even if it's old, it can be clean. Especially because Holiday Inn is everywhere with
Cleanliness advertises and in the end it was not clean at all.

A pleasant place to stay whilst I was on a course. Shame I forgot my swimming costume as the pool looked amazing.
The bed was a bit hard for me, but room was clean and provided a good work area for the homework I had to do.
Ordering food and drink was a bit complicated as it is alldone via a tablet. I put in that I was vegetarian which was fine for food , however it vastly limited the drinks I cold have. I couldn't even order a glass of water. I fed this back on check out. Also as food options are only kept on the tablet you couldn't easily walk in and have a look at the menu before deciding whether or not to eat there.
As with a lot of the hospitality business at the moment I think they were suffering from lack of staff, and waiting times seemed longer in the bar/restaurant area.
Overall a good place to stay, just a few minor things to iron out.

Our stay was okay. The staff here are all so kind and friendly. The rooms were clean but I think need an update. The beds are very uncomfortable so I didn’t get much sleep, the carpets are stained and there wasn’t much water pressure in the shower. We were hopeful but left feeling let down.

The first room we were given was much too small as I suffer with chlostrophobia. We went back to the reception and we’re offered a lot larger room which was so lovely.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good.

Could do with more information about the spa and usage whilst there, we weren’t given any and so many children in it every time we looked. We were visiting the historic docks so the hotel served its purpose. Area locally could do with some financial input

Hotel was clean, food was good and staff couldn't help you enough. The only thing that let it down was the surrounding area as you are a dual carriage way.

Staff are so young they don’t know what they doing. Beds are made properly. The bottom sheet isn’t straightened and the top is just put over the top bar bill at everybody’s drinks and food put on my bill to sort that out that wasn’t made when we got there, absolutely terrible place.

My room was a small room in a good way because it felt very cozy because the bed, TV and desk felt like being in a room within the room and there is a health club with swimming pool which guests can use which was good way to start or end the day. The only thing the hotel could do is provide some paper and a few pens in each room because I had needed to write down a few notes so I had to go down to reception and borrow a pen and some printer paper

Expedia gives you the impression that king sized beds are available. This is not the case. All beds are a standard British double and the standard room is tiny. There is just about enough room to walk around the bed and that’s it.

On arrival the reception was busy but no issues with booking in.
When I entered my room the smell of must was very apparent
So on looking the window frames were mouldy.
The carpet was very dirty and dusty. As the sofa was under window I cheeked for mould to find thick dust and dirty cotton bud.
Returned to reception where I was shown another room which was not much better.
After a chat with hotels.com. I was able to track down hotel manager. Who was absolutely undoubtedly very helpful and cleaned out room.
