The room was basically clean, but the couch had several large stains and an accent pillow was torn and falling apart. The TV was not easy to figure out and I had to have someone come show me how to turn it on. Even so, it still malfunctioned and I gave up.
The elevator was out of order as was the fire safety system. The parking lot is small and spaces are tight, and the walls are thin.

Arrived for Reservation at Comfort Inn, to find Quality Inn.
Then the office was locked with Message saying they will return at 7:25 PM, helping other guests. Yet was clear they were on dinner break.
Also had a sign on the door saying they were under Fire Watch due to broke items.
Next had a guy walking around the building over and over again yet not an employee.
Next, a Sheriff arrived questioning the man walking around and then going to the back of the building for awhile.
Office opened late and everything was very off putting with the multiple issues. My Female Friend felt very uncomfortable. Being in Multi-Family Housing Industry, this was not comforting to Myself as well.
Took an hour on the phone with Hotels.com to get the reservation that we had just made an hour before arriving, to be canceled and refunded.

First room water wasn’t turned on in toilet when turned on it leaked on floor so asked for another room second room TV would not turn on third room when I went to turn off TV would not turn off could not unplug it wires and cord were all in wall. Had to put 2 towels and my shirt over it to darken room thankful the mute work. Shower was very disappointing definitely need a new shower head. I have stayed at a lot of Quality Inns and have been very happy this was one was very disappointing. Smelled bad

We needed a local spot to sleep at while our house was fumigated and this worked out very well.
The room was bright, neat, and very clean. The beds were very soft and surprisingly warm. On the east side, it wasn't very noisy despite closeness to freeway.
One note that should be said: the parking spaces are very narrow. In my small sedan, I had less than a foot on either side in a compact spot. Luckily it wasn't too busy, so there were plenty of spaces but I could see it being a pain in busier times.

This was horrible. First it was noisy & dirty. We booked the room for 4 nights. We made it thru the 1st night. The 2nd afternoon the front desk clerk came to the room & started pounding on the door screaming that he was having an inspection & we had to pack up & leave the room immediately. We were floored. We hadn't done anything. He then proceeded to call the police. They came & we had already packed the car.Police left without issue. He did refund our money for 3 nights but he was completely out of hand. DO NOT STAY at this hotel.

Upon arriving I had to wait to check in for 30 because they were out to lunch at 630 pm. Once u got to my room, I notice there were dead bugs on the bathroom floor and in the tub. The connecting door to the next room did NOT LOCK so I placed two Ottomans in front of the door so no one can come in. I didn’t feel safe. The remote on for the tv wasn’t working properly I had to turn on the tv from the actual tv. And their wee buttons missing from the remote.

Hotels.com reviews of this place are WAY OFF. Hotel was pretty gross, and I ended up leaving to stay at another hotel. Sink was full of something besides water, tv didn’t work, and room smelled pretty bad. They offered me a different room, unfortunately that room hadn’t been cleaned yet. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, but there’s no chance this is a 7.0 according to the reviews.

Daniel, the front desk staff who checked us in was incredibly rude & he speaks to the housekeepers with such disrespect,
At check-in, I was charged a $150 deposit - that deposit is not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions of staying here. Daniels solution to that was that I could cancel my reservation and just be charged $120 for one night (without staying there for the night).
I agreed to pay the deposit & was checked into my room, only to find it full of fruit flies and house flies. It was absolutely disgusting. We weren’t in the room for more than three minutes when I went back downstairs to ask for another room. Daniel, who clearly forgets he is in the service industry, spoke to me with such anger in his voice because I was not willing to stay in a room with fruit and house flies for $120 bucks a night. He finally agrees to give me another room - and this replacement doesn’t even have the room number on it. At least the room was relatively clean and fruit flies were kept to a minimum.
To my chagrin, parking was limited due to some maintenance they had (also not mentioned before check in/arrival to the inn)
They advertise free breakfast, which is also a joke. The free breakfast is “around the corner” which leads to an Employees Only lounge.
This place is a disaster - don’t bother wasting your time or money. You can get a better deal right down the road at a different place.
UPDATE: THE HOTEL CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD THE DEPOSIT. SCAMMERS!

We enjoyed our stay here. Even though we were right next to the freeway it was pretty quiet. Except for the morning of check out, loud banging started coming from the room above ours around 830 am... i called the front desk and the gentlemen had stated they were doing remodeling. That's fine and all but next time have them scheduled for later in the day, not so early. Also upon check in we were not informed of breakfast hours or where it was being served. The rooms were nice and decent, not enough towels in my room so i did have to ask for more. The biggest red flag though, was the pool and jacuzzi! They were disgusting filthy and so so gross! Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. My little one was really looking forward to using it and was really upset we couldn't. But other than that, everything else was good. Would definitely stay here again

This is the third time we stayed at the property. While the location is convenient with regard to dinning options, shopping outlet, and location, the property is in disarray. The elevator wasn't working. We had to climb to the the third floor with our luggage. Items in the free breakfast option had been reduced compared to past years. Bagels and cereal were the main staples. The television remote was broken. This was the third time we had issues with the televisions. It is more than likely the last time we stay at the property.

Check in was an issue. Given a key card for people already asleep. Lots of screaming. New room didn’t have sheets/pillows for pull out bed. Towel exchange was unclear. The elevator was broken the five days we were there. Breakfast was bagel or muffin or cereal snd yogurt basically. Nothing really around for food. Place looked sketchy but room was really good. The mattresses were new and comfy. The price was less than what I searched for around here

Hotel is going thru renovations, outside has construction containers and unkept perimeter . Elevator does not work & had to climb 3 floors. Interior was new & clean! The shower was bes but the shower faucet was not working right, either cold or too hot, seems like plumber not installed properly. This could cause An injury to children or elder. Over all Rate was good, close to freeway, I give it a 2.5 star!

The pictures don't do it justice, the property is WORSE than the pix! The outside is nothing like the pic, you need to fix it and be real! The pool was dirty, and it's tiny. The only good thing was the room, looks like it's been remodeled. For the price, it was NOT worth it!

The room was clean and comfortable and quiet at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to I-5 beaches, and shopping in Encinitas.

The exterior of the property is really bad (to the point is scary to walk in). Renovated rooms are OK but:
1. Elevator wasn’t working and I had to carry 3 big suitcases up and down
2. One day we didn’t have water so I had to book another hotel to get a shower
3. Parking was almost not available on arrival
4. Staff attitude was rude (specially with the water situation)

We needed more clean towels in our room and when i tried to call our phone was not working. So i went outside to see if i can find a cart with some towels and when i did the general manager said to me, very rudely, you need to go to the front desk to get them. Not sure what the big deal was as to why i couldn't just get them from the cart. But yes the way he said it to me was not in a nice way and i really did not appreciate that.

We were disappointed with our stay because at about 1:30 AM the ceiling started to leak in two different places in the room. We called the front desk several times, but there was no answer. We went to the front door and knocked for a while, but there was no answer. Outside of the hotel, there were bins of dirty laundry sitting in the hallway.

Me and my children got bitten up by bed bugs bad this is the worst place and the night person from room 331 looked so dirty and on drugs never again
