Smelled like weed and the pull out bed mattress was stained. Over all condition was poor. No shampoo. Could not reach front desk on phone.

There was a used bandaid and food wrapper on our nightstand when we checked in, the cap of a razor in the bathroom, the freezer door was broken off, the hairdryer didn’t work, mold in the bathroom with no fan and the bed was super soft and uncomfortable.

I have stayed at Best Westerns many times and this is the first horrible experience I have had. I stayed with my 10 year old son. Our first room smelled of hot dogs and weed with a hint of lemon to cover it up. Housekeeping must have tried to mask the smell since the windows were open when we arrived. We asked to switch roomed since the putrid smell was unbearable. The new room appeared alright (though outdated). It wasn’t until the morning when I noticed the infestation of ANTS in the bathroom…which got into my clothes! The mattress was comically inverted making you feel as though you were sleeping in a hammock more than a bed. To top it off my poor son was taking a shower when the water suddenly turned to SCALDING resulting in him screaming and almost falling over the tub to try to escape. When I made a complaint I was told there was no manager on duty and they were understaffed.

The hotel was decent enough. There wasn't enough seating in the morning for the continental breakfast. We ended up sitting on couches with very low small round tables that were accent tables, not meant for dining on. But we didn't have another option. When we arrived, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming with a smile. As we went down the hall to find our room, there were a female employee who was yelling and use inappropriate language complaining about her supervisor saying, "What would he do if I f... walked off the job right now. Then he would have no staff to clean these f... rooms". My 10 year old daughter was getting scared so I quickly grabbed the room key and got us into our room quickly and closed the door. It was very off putting.

The entire hotel is run-down and smells of weed. I was not comfortable staying here and double locked the door.

At check in room was not ready. When I came back 6 hours later, the room they give us was not yet ready, they change us 3 times and the last one wasn’t really clean

Shower was hot and strong. However the sofa bed did not have any bedding in the room, which was disappointing. Plus the machine that makes pancakes for breakfast wasnt working :( But otherwise comfortable and clean

The room was very clean and organized and well equipped (mini fridge, microwave, closet, working table, coffee machine, multiple sitting couches). The bathroom was also very clean. Bathroom fixtures could use some upgrades, but that’s probably me being picky. The staff were super friendly, overall hotel was pretty clean. Breakfast was decent as well.

I had no problem with the hotel itself. But I was given a room right by the entrance on the ground floor facing the parking lot. Several other guests spent the entire evening and night parked right outside my window blasting music from their cars. Finally at 12:30am I asked to switch rooms and was given another room on the opposite side of the hallway but still right by the lobby so I heard people yelling as they came in and out all night. Maybe just the price and location of this hotel lends itself to being a crash place after a night of partying. Would not recommend for families on a Saturday night.

Check-out was at 11am but housekeeping knocked on my door, not once but twice before 10am. It made me feel like i had to rush to get out of the room. But besides that, the room was clean, hotel was convenient to the highway, and the front desk staff were very nice.

Hotel room itself was nice. Front desk staff wasn’t great, they were drinking alcohol with friends when we checked in at night and were not happy to help us. Housekeeping did not clean our room and provide us with fresh towels in the morning. The breakfast was good though.

The staff is courteous and efficient. The room is spacious and clean, though somewhat dated. There were no surprises and nothing to complain about. If you want a fancier hotel, go downtown and pay a lot more.

The hotel smelled like someone smoking weed. Walls are thin and I could hear the full conversation from next door at 2 am in the morning ( not pleasant at all). I think people might be living at this hotel as it did not feel safe and lots of comings and goings all night.( loud door bangs). Front staff not very welcoming and not helpful. Breakfast area was not refilled and had to ask attendant to get off her phone for her to refill items. No shampoo in the room, when asking the front desk for some they made you feel like you’re disturbing their social life. Room was had worn and dirty areas. Would not recommend this hotel as a stop over.

The lady at the front desk was in a conversation on her phone while she was trying to help me and I couldn’t tell if she was talking to me or the person in the phone most of the time The bed what a plastic wrap on it that was very loud anytime ywe moved in bed & made the bed uncomfortable to sleep on

I say the best Western multiple times on my trip to Connecticut, and it is by far one of the best places that I have stayed in the Hartford area. I experienced that I’ve had with this place has been stellar, and the staff is very attentive. They have great beds, nice spacious rooms, and a good breakfast in the AM. I like this place so much that I was disappointed that it was booked up on my last trip. I will definitely try to stay here and every chance that I get when I am in town.

The room was fine. The heater was super loud and sounded like an airplane taking off. The roller was also loud flushing. When we checked in the person was listening to a show about rape and did not turn it off.
