Had a great stay at The Lodge…location is amazing for skiing, dining, shopping…just hanging out. Staff was great! Hotel is somewhat dated in the rooms, but the location and service outweighs age big time.

I have stayed at the Lodge periodically over the last 50 years so I have some experience staying there. The Good - The location - you can't beat it for skiing and they know it which is why most of this review is negative. The spa - Very nice masseuses and fitness center. the Valet employees - very kind and helpful. We really liked them alot. The Bad The facility - This place needs a redo quickly. It is so run down it is hard to believe it is a 4 star property and it makes me feel that they are relying heavily on location (which is excellent) to justify their unbelievably high rates - 600-800 per night for a tiny room and bathroom. The room was gross - very old carpet, chipped furniture, a pocket door to the bathroom that didn't slide and had no way to pull it out, a malfunctioning tv, an ancient and small bathroom. There is paint peeling everywhere and it was frankly hard to tell if it was clean or dirty because it was so dingy. Also, they offer housekeeping every other day which is an environmentally friendly practice for sure, but at 600-800 per night, new coffee cups, Keurig pods and maybe towels would have been nice. The front desk staff - they acted as if they were doing me a favor every time I asked anything. I had a package delivered and I was told by 4 different people that they didn't have it until I showed them a picture of the delivery driver standing on the Lodge logo rug at which point it was miraculously found. Very expensive for what you get.

Hotels.com stated due to my Gold VIP status, I would have $50 daily resort fee waived and that did not happen. Also, I booked a 1 bedroom luxury suite and the room looked nothing like the pictures on Hotels.com. I feel like I was bait and switched and paid over $1,300 a night for a room that was no where accurate of its representation.

We took cold showers had a very loud heater, did not have any of the accommodations. We saw photos of online, a view of a side of a building/roof. We checked out early and requested a refund. Hot hotel is dated and in need of a remodel
