Good hotel in the heart of South Beach with comfortable, clean rooms and a great location. The reception staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests.
My main complaint is that the hotel regularly hosts private events at the pool without providing advance notice to guests prior to booking. During these events, the pool is unavailable for guest use, which is disappointing when pool access/pool area is one of the amenities of the property. In addition, the parties can continue late into the night, creating significant noise that carries into the rooms and disrupts sleep. Better communication and consideration for hotel guests would greatly improve the overall experience.

Overall we had a great stay at this hotel. I enjoy the smaller intimate layout, the large pool and patio area with bar, and easy access to the beach path. The one drawback from our visit was the fact that the gym was closed for renovation. They were providing day passes to a nearby gym, but that was not super convenient, and also the gym did not have towels or self locking lockers (you needed to have a lock) so for the average hotel guest those are inconveniences.

It’s a historic hotel right on the beach, but what really set this property apart was the staff. They noticeably went above and beyond, even compared to some of the higher end hotels in South Beach.
The pool area had an especially great vibe, with a DJ every day and plenty of activities. My only complaint was that the bathroom was a way too small. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
