Room was well taken care of. Furniture in room was a little dated and could use some updating. Beds were comfortable. Hotel was very busy with various groups of all ages youth. Pool and lobby area was very loud and in evening was only able to be minimally. Breakfast was good but could a little variety was the same each day. Minimal grab and go options like yogurt.

Stayed here with my family on a Monday night on April. I think it was a good deal for $100. We hit the indoor pool right before it closed at 10. Breakfast had good options and an omelette station. The room was clean although the little wall a/c unit was loud and not very cold.

If I had known it was a second floor room with no elevator, I would have looked elsewhere. Only found out when going to our room with several bags and 2 kids. I was told all of the first floor was booked, and the only option was to pay extra for another room. A sign next to the TV had instructions on viewing the restaurant menu, but it didn't work. We just drove to a different restaurant and didn't order any food to our room. The breakfast would have been pretty good, but the main room was about 40 degrees. By the time I took 2 bites, my once steaming food was freezing cold. Staff told me this is normal during spring and fall every year. Tried taking a shower, but the drain was almost completely clogged. Had to slosh around in it after just two minutes. Someone had previously poured coffee in the "WATER ONLY" part of the coffee maker, so the tea looked like mud. Bathroom mirror light didn't work, although a timer could be used to turn on a heat lamp for some reason, 5 minutes at a time. It looks like maintenance isn't done very often, or they don't want to spend much on things like broken outlets, lights, etc. Seems more like a motel that charges as much as a 3+ star hotel.

The Academy Hotel was a great place to stay. The lobby and pool were beautiful, we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast had a great variety and all the food was delicious. Some of the appliances and fixtures in our room were dated and could stand to be updated but it didn't affect our stay that much.

Our stay was good as always. We always stay here when our daughter is competing at Olympic Training Center. The pool was down so that part wasn’t good and the room could have been vacuumed a bit better but the breakfast is always good and the staff is always accommodating. 9/10

The entrance looked like it's never cleaned so that was a terrible first impression; however, inside had a nice atmosphere. The hallways smelled bad and there were dirty sheets outside of each room being cleaned, which was gross and I thought we'd likely change to a different hotel; however, our room was nice and comfortable. We bought drinks from the bar (reasonably priced) and hung out by the fireplace which was very relaxing. Breakfast had made to order omelettes which is always a plus! GOOD=service, breakfast, room, main area atmosphere BAD=entryway, hallways, smell in the hallways

Staff is amazingly friendly, very clean rooms housekeeping is amazing. However the breakfast buffet needs some work. We have been coming here for 13 years due to our daughter being in college we always stayed at this hotel never at another the buffet free breakfast has gone downhill. I wish they would Have more variety every day. It’s the same. The omelettes are not mixed. It’s just a flipped over egg omelette with filling inside that’s not mixed other than that Hotel amazing. We wish that they would put the Jacuzzi back in that would be a big plus but for now we most likely will look at another hotel when we come visit due to the breakfast and no Jacuzzi.

Just stayed overnight instead of driving back home after a late event. Older hotel, shows somw wear but they are keeping up on it. Very individual, not like big chains, cozy seating area, room very quiet. Would stay again.

Each time we stay we are delighted. (Usually once per year on the way south). The staff is excellent and friendly. We almost stayed somewhere else this trip and are so glad that we didn't. The breakfast staff was also great.

This was a super hotel. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable. The bar has a pool table and the area outside the bar can seat a large crowd. The breakfast was an added surprise..omelets made to order, a variety of choices. There is an indoor poo also. Recommend this property highly!

Lobby looks good but as you enter the hallways you can plainly see that maintenance is very much lacking. Carpets need cleaning or replace, doors and door frames need painting. Our room had a lot of wear and tear. Rusting of fixtures, wall grills, toilet paper holder…etc. rips in wallboard and gouges not fixed. Duct tape to “fix” the shade, old and worn lamp shades. Smoke alarm kept going off. Someone burned popcorn. Hmmm We stayed here 2 years ago and they blamed it on covid. Restaurant was good, great help!! Mattress very comfortable.

The rooms are updated but the hotel is old and it shows. The breakfast is not great so I went somewhere else. The walls are also thin. I heard too much from the room next door.

The hotel was gorgeous! The lobby is beautiful and at night they turn the lighs down and the mood is super relaxing. The pool area is clean and beautiful. The rooms were clean and nice and the beds were comfortable. I will definitely be staying here any time I have to be in Colorado Springs.

The hotel room smell really old, toilet not working properly, hallways strange order. I think it’s the plumbing. Restaurant food.. Horrible!!! Recommend eating at local restaurants around the hotel. STAFF.. GREAT!!!!!

This is the nicest place ever. We travel alot for sports and hands down this is nicest place we have ever stayed. I will always stay there when we come to this side of the mountain. I would highly recommend it anyone. It has a little of something for everyone. An awesome breakfast bar as well. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. It really was nice. Great rates to.

Loved this place. I must admit that my expectations were not high. That being said, I was wonderfully surprised. I walked into the lobby to find a beautiful, dimly lit restaurant/bar area and a very nice fireside lounge. Although I didn't use it, the indoor pool looked amazing! The staff was great, very helpful. I was given a gift bag at check in. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of pillows!!

The staff especially in the breakfast and in the bar were friendly and awesome. We loved the decor of the fireplace and sitting area. Loved the music playing around there but it also would have been nice to have someone perform and maybe sing a little from time to time. My family and I really enjoyed hanging out there.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in December with my family. We had a fabulous time. Food & drinks at the bar are great & it’s close to everything. Views of the beautiful mountains from our room. Will stay again.
