The Refuge Inn is a very special place to stay. It is the closest Inn to Assateague island. The staff welcome you and are so kind and pleasant. The Inn has an indoor pool and sauna. They also have an inexpensive bike rental on the other side of their parking lot. Family run it is beautifully decorated and maintained motel. They have a coral next to their parking lot with pony’s that were once wild living there. You can purchase feed and put it in troughs for them to much on while you take pictures of these beautiful animals. The view from their deck of Assateague Island and the water is lovely.

Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms, Plenty of towels & sundries, beautiful surroundings, quiet, and budget friendly.
Walking/ Biking distance to National Park.

Beautiful and clean rooms, kind staff, and relaxing atmosphere. I can’t recommend it enough! We loved the location and bike rentals next door, plus the proximity to the park. We loved the little patio and sliding door.
Breakfast didn’t have a ton of options, but it was delivered right to your door and coffee was available all day!
