Very disappointing experience. Hotel was overbooked and so we were moved to a sister hotel - they didn't even bother to inform us (by email) until 1 hour after we'd already tried to check-in. Having been told that there was no room for us in the hotel we'd booked, we were then directed to another hotel (Ballaculish) 3 miles away. This hotel was also fully booked with 2 large tour groups.
We were in the last room at the end of the annex and the water to the shower would run or stop altogether depending on usage in the rest of the hotel. We were told that we could still use the facilities in the Isles of Glencoe Hotel but we weren't going to drive 3 miles for a swim and sauna!
The Ballaculish Hotel is tired and they seem more interested in prioritising large tour groups than offering any kind of customer service!

Staff do the hotel proud but the cleanliness of the room lets it down. Black mould on bathroom ceiling unusable wifi and dirty windows. Lack of vegetarian options on the menu

We very much enjoyed our stay at Isle of Glencoe hotel. Great distance from everything we wanted to see and trails we wanted to hike. Only thing is if you’re looking for a hotel with a ton of amenities- this might not be for you. Though everyone was very kind, we desperately needed laundry after a muddy hike and they couldn’t help us. I hope they add laundry service to their list of amenities for messy hikers like us.
The food was great though and so was the company. Room was also very clean and had a beautiful view. Would stay with friends again if in the area.

Staff were so nice, hotel was clean, loved the pool and sauna, couldn’t fault the breakfast and the views are stunning, will definitely go back again

Charming hotel with spectacular views of the mountains and the loch.

Rooms were OK, but the common areas need updating
6.0
It was average, view of the loch was amazing but was stood waiting to check in for 10 minutes before someone came. Ate dinner here and the food was great but the atmosphere was far from, surrounded by kids who were running around, throwing things and being really loud - wasn’t what I was expecting from a high priced hotel.

Nice setting, however receptionist knew nothing about hotels.com gift cards, so got nothing. No gym, and swimming pool open to public so very busy with local children. Noisy corridors at night. Not a relaxing stay.

A lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. Room was massive and very clean, also beautiful views from the room window. Staff were polite and attentive and were so good with my 9 month old daughter who loved crawling about the restaurant/bar in the evening. Most of the staff really went out of their way to chat with her and play with her. Particularly Kay and two female reception staff. The pool was great, very clean and a lovely touch to relax after a busy day hiking. Food in the restaurant was also very nice. Would recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great location with great views

Views are amazing unless you are on the ground floor wanting to throw the curtains open to enjoy the wonderful views from your bed/room - warning - anyone walks right by your window, or more likely hang around there to enjoy the same views, so if you like your privacy the curtains stay shut!!
Initially, rooms look lovely but beds aren't great, toilet is wall fitted at child height- ok for some of us, ridiculous for most!!
Breakfast is expensive, and not worth it since buffet style and constantly waiting to be refilled.
Staff are lovely but so helpful they don't have enough time for everyone.
We were advised of disabled parking near our room, which we needed, but then a knock, whilst we displayed the 'do not disturb' notice on our door. We were then asked to move our car elsewhere for someone who we can only assume needed our space more!! We later noticed a member of staff using another disabled space!! This was the turning point for us.
Hotel is not new and if you are not a heavy sleeper, the noise of anyone moving about avove or particulary in the corridors will keep you awake, along with anyone snoring nearby.
I have no issue with dogs or children but suggest you avoid this hotel if you are not keen on either, including children running from room to room and dogs eating off owners plates.
I would recomment for those who like a swim as the pool looked nice, although we didn't have time to try it, families and dog owners of which there were aplenty.

Brilliant food, friendly staff and nice facilities.

Great place to stay, great location.

Property was absolutely freezing- had to ask on countless occasions for the staff to increase heat in our room as it was all controlled by the front desk!
Restaurant was great and convenient but pack thermals if you want to stay warm

The Isles of Glencoe is a great place to stay in the summer but with some cautions for the winter traveller. The Dining room is situated in a conservatory which is poorly insulated - no curtains or proper heating. Despite staff placing small heaters on the window ledge, I had to return to my room to put on thermals and the other guests in my party were cold. This is unacceptable and should be urgently addressed. It would make me reluctant to take guests there again in the winter season. Staffing shortages and lack of training similarly made aspects of our visit disappointing. When you are cold in the lounge a lukewarm coffee or hot chocolate does little to remedy the situation. Staff were very kind but the quality of service was not up to their usual standards.

Overall hotel & staff were excellent. Room was clean, a good size & comfortable although shower curtain had a strong musty smell. Staff were very helpful & always cheerful. Area around hotel is stunning. Would definitely stay again.

Check-in was easy. Staff very helpful. Stairs to upper rooms a bit difficult to negotiate with cases but assistance was available.
Room was large but I have no idea why it was called a feature room. The downstairs feature rooms have french windows and amazing views of the loch. The upstairs feature rooms that I stayed in did not seem to have much of a feature at all, unless you call a sloping roof that you can hit you head on and a small window view across the loch, features.
Ensuite was average with some shelving for toiletries.
Restaurant was a surprise in that he food was quite good. However, staff were not good, especially at breakfast when you can easily be ignored.

Lovely hotel with a chic lounge. We had a large room overlooking the water.

A nice hotel with a great location and view of Loch Levin and the surrounding area. I had a great stay, but the breakfast buffet could be improved. I would definitely recommend staying here if you will be in the Glencoe or Fort William area.

The service was great, everyone really helpful and kind.
The view is amazing.
But the hotel needs some updates and renovations. It’s really old and the carpet is old and dirty.

The views from the hotel were great, but that is the only good thing about it. The service is REALLY bad. Quite a few of our towels and bedsheets had stains. We were ignored by the staff at breakfast. Christina Ruiz, at the restaurant, was outright rude with us. The staircase had some spilled food which remained there for our entire stay - several days. The room service is pretty much non-existent. The breakfast food was very mediocre, which, combined with the bad service, resulted in us skipping their breakfast even though it was included. If the hotel does have any management, they really don't care. Also quite a few basic conveniences were missing - there is no elevator in the three-floor building, and the room did not have neither a safe nor a fridge. And the hotel kept spamming us with their messages which were just advertising other properties of the same company.

Staff wasn’t helpful, the hotel is a bit worn down. Restaurant is not bad but definitely not good either.

Perfect location to take a break after visiting Loch Ness and heading to Glencoe. Would love to return!

Lovely hotel. Arrived late after a long day climbing nearby and staff couldn’t have been any more accommodating. They kept the kitchen open so we could order some food. And a few drinks. Would definitely recommend this hotel x x

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. The front desk staff were so kind and personable. They answered all our questions and truly made each day a little bit brighter with their kindness. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant on two nights. The food and service were phenomenal. Great views from the restaurant. The breakfast was also very good. We would definitely stay here again. My only small complaint would be the bed. It wasn't super comfy but we were so tired after hiking that we still slept great each night.

The property was well maintained, the breakfast had many selections, and the food flavors were tantalizing. We enjoyed the area around the hotel. It was suitable for walks and allowed me to take some gorgeous photographs.

The property was in a beautiful location by the loch with mountains all around. The staff were helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet was good. I found my room too small for a multiday stay.

Staff at entrance immediately jumped into all the rules at the hotel and didn't make us feel welcome at all. Couldn't even have calls in the restaurant or lobby areas early morning..was asked to leave even though large groupa of people making sound were hoarding near entrance. Only pleasant person was the bartender from the isle of sky! Besides the view and spectacular location, I could say the folks working here could use some etiquette training to make folks feel more welcome.
