Horrible contential breakfast.

We could not control heat or AC and that was a problem. Second, the continental breakfast was awful with next to no food and most of the items were gone. They had some bagels but no cream cheese. Also they refused to open up tables to sit and we were forced to sit in high top tables. We have a son with a disability and we saw an elderly couple struggling as well. They need to spend some attention on this.

We stayed in Room 307. We actually had to walk uphill to get to the toilet and the second bed!! This was described as a boutique hotel - having worked for actual boutique hotels, this was not one. We found out there were renovations going on via text the day of check in so we had to use thr back entrance, go to the basement and check in was at a folding table next to the laundry room. We ibterrupted the staff person in the middle of his McDonalds lunch and he had to move his food out of the way to check us in! The room was quite small and for some reason the bathroom was designed with the opening to the shower behind the toilet and unless you lowered the shower head, the water bounced of the back wall and ran down the floor. Thd toilet was situated so that you could watch yourself on the toilet and there was absolutely no counter space in thd bathroom due to the overly large sink. It was just an okay place and far lower in quality than expected. I would not stay there again or recommend.

Older building (part of its charm), but windows leaked and blinds didn’t help. Furnishings were spartan.
Most irritating, “included breakfast” wasn’t made available. Reason given was too few guests that night to warrant settling it up. Demand for partial refund has gone unanswered.

Limited amenities and dining but ok

The rooms were very comfortable and the restaurant was very good. Excellent table service from Lucy!
Still waiting to hear from the manager about a mistake in room charges, however.

Poor signage, both from outside and at the entrance.

A wonderful hotel with lots of charm. However having some working AC would have been nice on a very warm day and evening which made it difficult to sleep. Hope your staff was very accommodating. Continental breakfast needs some improvement like maybe a waffle making machine.

Staff was lovely
Dinner was great
The hotel setting and room were nice but fixing the wallpaper and cleaning the carpets would really enhance the atmosphere

The hotel was obviously a remodeled older building, but was done very well.
We stayed in a "Queen Turret" room. It was unique in that there was a small circular side room that was about 10 feet in diameter like in a castle. There were windows almost all around so it was bright and interesting.
The bathroom was large and well done.
The only negative thing about the room was that the outer wall on one side was angled from the ceiling to floor. There was a table against that wall with the ice bucket, glasses, plug for phone charging, etc. Almost every time my wife or I retrieved or placed something on the table, we hit our head when standing back up.
Overall, very nice place.

Nice place. Would stay here again.

The property is extremely run down. Wall covering in the room peeling everywhere, stains all over the carpet. I left the afternoon before my check out date just to avoid sleeping in the room one additional night. The carpet in the corridors was in very bad shape.
The receptionist at check in was very nice though.

The ceiling fan was missing a blade, the carpets looked old and worn. Window curtains were in not so good condition and didn’t fit the windows. Otherwise it was a pretty good stay.

I found the centennial to be comfortable but certainly tired. Room 210 needs a freshening for sure. The button on the AC is worn off, the blinds were broken, the sink and toilet stained mostly from wear. The walls and doors need to be wiped down. The room really needs an upgrade if you are going to advertise as a higher end hotel. The lobby area was very nice and I appreciated the breakfast and early coffee.

Wonderful place in a converted historic building. A nice base for exploring both Concord and areas further north, such as Meredith, NH where the statue in the photo is located

Disappointed that the rooms look like they have not been updated in a very long time, carpet was really old , blinds were very dusty and old as well.
Continental breakfast was a nice bonus, but will probably not stay here again unless there is a little Maintenace done to the rooms

This property is in dire condition and I took pictures to back up the following statements where applicable. 1) At check-in you are told housekeeping comes every 3 days (on the morning of the 4th day) - they never came and so we checked out on the 4th day, read on. You are also told there is a $50 resort fee ( for what is unclear, a gym, a pool? ) 2) The exterior is peeling everywhere, roof tiles are missing (something I saw each time I left my room). 3) The room - peeling wall paper on all walls, slopping floors, mystery stains on a carpet so soiled it was hard and crackled underfoot to the bare foot, the outlets were at least 20 years old meaning no up to date plugs, the taste of dust in the air, mould lining the shower in the bathroom, a cracked sink with negligible drainage. On the plus side the A/C worked, the beds were comfortable but the bedding was old, the toilet flushed properly. 4) The food - no in room coffee maker, morning coffee at the front desk was coffee flavoured water. I was so concerned about the room and mould I didn’t dare try any of the food. 5) Staff - few but friendly and they know the place is an embarrassment because when checking out early there was no question or objection, just a resigned acceptance that an early sign out was not unusual. Sadly when I checked in to a chain hotel, the on duty staff bit their lip and only said it was sad but such was the condition of a remarkable historic building. The place needs millions in renovations, millions!

Breakfast, nothing to eat over heard front desk clerk complaining guess still coming for breakfast and it was only 9:15 when breakfast finished at 9:30

Great spot

It’s located about 1/2 mile out of downtown which is not a bad walk except for the threatening storms. Room cleaning is only after a 3 night stay, which I thought was unusual. The sick drain did not function properly and although we told the front desk it was not fixed. Also I called ahead to see if they have a car charger….they do but I was told it works poorly. I figured it would be as good As The one I have a home and it would do….BUT they charge $25 to use it!!!

Our stay at The Centennial was lovely. My husband and I loved the quaint ambience, like staying at a small Inn. The furnishings in our room needs to be updated, however it was very clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. We will not hesitate to stay at the Centennial again when we visit Concord later this year.

My stay at The Centennial was disappointing, based on the rave reviews it had received. While the bedding and the bathroom surfaces seemed clean, there was dust on the blinds, dust in the corners, and the upholstery and carpeting were dirty throughout. The worst part, however, was the room's air conditioning: a small window unit with ill-fitting accordion side panels, that was very loud and was blowing cold air right on my feet. I finally had to get up and push a chair between me and the unit so that the cold blast was at least diverted. I wanted to like The Centennial, but I couldn't.

I had a lovely stay. the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was good and had a relaxing evening chatting at the bar with friends

A well kept property in a beautiful city and a nice part of town. Can safely get out and walk at night, no bums, no questionable clientele. And dope smoke free. Wonderful!!!

There was a problem with our door lock. The front desk promptly moved us to another room. Your waitstaff in the restaurant/bar are lovely. They were attentive to all who were dining. Leah was especially sweet as I was dining alone while my husband was at a meeting.

Excellent stay at the Centennial. Great service by the staff too! The room and bathroom was nice and the hotel was full of charm. There was a complimentary continental breakfast and the restaurant and bar on property was amazing.

Peaceful and quiet. Spacious room. Comfy bed. Bathroom fairly updated. Good parking. But not in great condition (wall paper peeling, window shades broken). Has charm, but is definitely dated and in somewhat poor condition.
