We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret.
We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. We didn’t enjoy this as much as Martha’s purely as some of the flavours didn’t match in our opinion. It was a very vast menu, a lot of food and sitting down to a 3 hour dinner was a bit after another very busy day.
Overall though, we would absolutely come back here. The surrounding gardens were magnificent as was Mt Lofty House in general.
