would not recommend. needed accessible room, not ava, so trapped in room or out of as 18 stairs super exhausting. Icean view room noisy due to pool proximity (lots of drinking and kids)

My Fiancé and I had a wonderful weekend getaway thanks to Cottage Inn by the Sea. The room was extremely clean and just as pictured. We will definitely be back!

Everything was positive, the staff was acomodating the only problem was the windows were dirty, and it messed up the great view. But that happens with seaside hotels.

Overall great experience the staff was friendly and welcoming, the fire pits were beautiful, the atmosphere was very quiet and nice.

The room was quite spacious, bed was comfortable, loved the 2 big windows with a partial ocean view. I’m glad Trisha put me in a quiet room too. Trisha was very pleasant and a delight to converse with and a good sense of humor. I look forward to returning again soon.

We love this gem of a hotel. The location is perfect, service is always friendly (even though the front desk is sometimes understaffed, they are always friendly), and it has all of the amenities we enjoy. We’ve stayed a few times and look forward to coming back again!

It was great but I do think they should add a gate in front of the fireplace my daughter sat by it and leaned on it not thinking it was hot “there is a sign but it’s small” and got second degree burn. It’s a very nice place to stay and will stay again but for the younger children maybe a small gate would be good.

Great stay - nice room, nice staff, etc. Two improvement: 1) get the tub/shower to drain faster, and 2) provide some plastic water cups (2?) instead of only the two coffee cups.

The stay was so nice so when we wake up we decided to have another night. When we came there was not to many people at the cottage making it very cozy, they have a lovely heated Jacuzzi and the fire places was magical to sit around during the night. Really cozy place and understand why it`s called cottage inn. If you have the extra 50 bucks I do recommend the ocean room, waking up to the waves of california was truly magical.

This property looks exactly as pictured. We reserved an Oceanfront room, and it was lovely and had an awesome view. Along the bluffs, there is a beautiful park walk with lots of seating and fire pits. A great place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, which because of Pismo's situation, you can see both. There is also a nice restaurant in walking distance to the hotel.

Had heard some bad reviews but actually it was a nice stay. Room was renovated. Liked there wasn’t carpet. Bed was decent. Loved the fireplace in room. Good shower/toilet. Lighting in bathroom was just ‘ok’. Not bright enough for putting on make-up ( ladies) they do room cleaning on ‘request’ only. Sheets were little ‘worn’ but towels were nice. I would suggest liners in trash cans. Front lobby dining area ‘inviting’. Think maybe they should think about squirting down stairs ( we’re a little dirty) when going upstairs & cleaning windows ( had a partial ocean view which was nice) It was quiet too which was nice All this said, I’d stay there again

Beautiful views, friendly staff! Unfortunately no restaurant on sight, but a 2 minute walk to an amazing restaurant called Blast & Brew. And just a 10 minute walk to downtown Pismo.

I loved the room! Everything was clean, well kept and up to date. The fireplave was a lovely touch. A meer walk to the beach with firepits for guests. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because no vent in restroom. Has a small window but still wasnt enough. Made it hard to get ready in the bathroom or take a hot shower. The walls are also very thin. We csn not only hear the upstairs guest but also everytime someone used the ice machine. Hard to enjoy full undisturned sleep.

Everything was just perfect. Beautiful property built like a British cottage next to the Pacific coast and Pismo beach with a charming well. The staff was cheerful and courteous. I have nothing negative to say about this Inn.

The name says it. It is by the sea! We enjoyed the walkway to beach. Sitting by the firepit and listening to the ocean is a bless.

The one issue was that the blinds did not close completely on the front window. So I had to set up something to block people from seeing into my room. As a single female traveler, I did not feel safe with people being able to see me on n my room.

Waaay too many people were there unfortunately (New Year’s Day weekend) and this caused some minor inconveniences with respect to access to the hot tub, fire pits and parking. Will plan to visit another time of the year when there’s not that many people. Other than that it was quite a comfortable and relaxing stay. Pismo Beach is awesome and the views of the ocean and the pier from here are stunning!

Spacious room with cute, modern beach decor. Right on cliff to ocean view, stairs to Pismo Beach and you can walk beach to town…about 1 mile walk to pier. Perfect spot for sunset. Staff very friendly. I would absolutely stay again.

There is a disconnect between the App hotels.com and the lobby. So got charged for a late checkout that was supposed to be complementary. When I complained both parties gave me the back and forth treatment.

The property has nice ocean views, fire pits were be wonderful , however its gas be turned off at 10pm, should be 11pm. We booked 3 rooms. Interior is good except, 1room had no AC. All rooms have no exhaust fans in bathrooms . Location is good too.

This is a gorgeous property! Love it so much. The staff regarding housekeeping and the pool were fabulous! The front desk leaves a lot to be desired. But! After I got over them… this place has a wonderful pool! The fire pits are great. The place is spotless. Very well kept!

I had stayed at this property years ago and had remembered that stay very fondly. This stay we decided to splurge and booked a stay in the king ocean view room. It is a second floor room. Since most rooms do not have AC units, only fans and a fireplace, keeping the windows open is the only way to cool the space. Our first night was so wonderful and tranquil! I did ask for a refill on the bath gel which never occurred and we were a bit surprised that there was no sugar or creamer for the coffee. Plus, the water bottles available in room are $5/each, so we went to a gas station and grabbed water instead. But, small issues considering the view, the sounds of the waves, and how comfortable the bed was! We had such a great rest that night! The second night was not so great. Be forewarned that the ocean view rooms overlook and open up to the communal space between the hotel rooms and the bluff. We had people partying below us and smoking throughout the night. We called at 10pm and the hotel sent someone out but the same folks took to talking and smoking below our window again at 3am. Unfortunately, closing the window would have made the room too warm. I was told in the morning that the path between the ocean front rooms and the bluffs is a public access area for the ocean front hotels. We paid a premium price for the room but if we ever stay here again we will probably try a different room so we won't gamble on folks looking to party on the beach right below our window.
