The breakfast was not as advertised: no eggs and there was no syrup for the pancakes, not even fresh fruit besides a basket of apples. They have one Keurig that I had to wait in line for which was not convenient at all.

We enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. The fireplace provided some nice romantic ambiance. The breakfast was just okay. Would have enjoyed some eggs and bacon!

Overall, great location. The hotel is nearby all the restaurants and attraction activities. The bed was very uncomfortable. For a suite, was hoping there was a loveseat or sofa to sit on. The room was not very clean.

I really recommend the property, only reason I don’t give it a 5 star review is because I was looking forward on having the chimney on in my room and it didn’t work, so I was sad about that but other than that it was a beautiful place to stay

The Ascot Suites in Morro Bay offered a delightful base for my exploration of the charming coastal town. The location was fantastic: quiet yet a walkable distance to a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations and local insights. However, my overall experience was unfortunately dampened by the cleanliness of my room. Finding long hair on the bedding of the king-size bed, as well as in the bathroom tub, was a major disappointment. This detracted from the otherwise cozy and comfortable atmosphere of the room and raised concerns about hygiene standards.

When I walked in the lady at the front with dark hair was amazing . No phones in the room to call the front and then the next morning and took a shower and the shower was dirty and someone's hair was on the walls and you could see that the shower wasn't clean . I told the morning front desk guy and he says to me sorry sorry will have someone clean it .. ?!!! Really ? How about hat will take care of you for that happening . No didn't happen

Good location. They were having trouble with the gas fireplaces in some of the rooms ours included but jumped on the problem right away Nice little breakfast

The front desk person was nice. This was no way her fault. I'm not sure how busy it really is but the rooms weren't cleaned by check in. We didn't check in until almost 1 hour and 30 minutes after check in. The cleaners were short staffed and was being rushed to clean leaving behind the previous guest's old food in the fridge. It makes you wonder what else was skipped or missed in the rush?

The Ascot is a nice place but beginning to show its age in very slight ways. Good location. The only other thing that I can think of for less than a five star is "breakfast". Some fruit, breads, cereals and a waffle maker pretty much sum it up. If you consider anything that would be in the protein group, eggs, sausage, bacon, as an essential for a true breakfast, you'll be disappointed as I was. There are some fast food places in the area as well as regular restaurants/coffee shops so all is not lost, but breakfast at the Ascot is less than a 5 star rating.

We booked this hotel for my birthday weekend and specifically chose it for the fireplace and balcony. Get there, the fireplace just clicks so we call the front desk. WE are told 'oh, some of them don't work'. What? So we asked to be moved to a room with a functioning one. She never called us back. The air conditioning wouldn't turn off all night. We froze. The 'duvet' was actually two sheets put together around an old dingy beige blanket. Gross. Would be nice if they paid attention to their balconies too. All the bird poop on the railings was lovely. When my husband took a shower, he wanted to adjust the rain shower head, it just fell to the wayside. Balconies face each other in the middle so it was awkward to be outside with strangers staring at you. We let hotels.com know of our horrible experience and this hotel REFUSED to refund or at least do something to make it right. STAY AWAY!

There were many things that needed improvement. Parking was limited. There were a 2 USB charging ports in the room and one of them was broken, the bathroom faucet was lose. (Not properly tightened to the sink) one side of the towel rack over the toilet fell off the wall when touched, the beds did not have bed spreads, there was supposed to be a continental breakfast from 7 to 10 and at 7:15 the room still had chairs on tables and no sign of breakfast. In total all doable no real problems but lots of opportunity to easily improve. It did seam that the property was in the process of improving/renovating so I would expect it to be belter in the future and I would stay again if visiting the area in the future.

It was loud and the walls very thin.. you could hear EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean! Dogs were also barking in the room upstairs.. very bad language yelled in the hallway.. would choose somewhere to stay next time

We loved our stay at the Ascot suites in Morro bay. Big room, clean and modern. The fireplace and rain shower were extra luxurious. The staff was friendly and helpful ( Shout out to Kai at the front desk!) We'll definitely stay here again.
