Room needed touch ups, “free breakfast” is just coffee and muffin, better than nothing I guess. Staff was helpful.

The staff was very nice. We were so glad it had a refrigerator/ freezer because we had gone to the grocery store and had lots to put away. The hotel was pretty run down, the room had an odor, the floor was sticky in the kitchen.

Bed bugs and beyond rude hotel manager. Then hotel had a black out at 11pm when returned from work and got put out on top of that, although I communicated earlier in the day I would pay for my additional night upon returning!!! They shouldn’t be allowed on ANY booking platform! This place was horrible!!!

They have bed bugs and because I need the hotel in relation to my grandchild's school I've reluctantly had to book additional nights. And Hotels.com not the hotel has done A THING as of yet, to compensate me for the inconveniences and uncomfortable and unpleasant stay! I recommend they shut down entirely and do a thorough cleaning and sanitizing of this place! DO NOT BOOK!

I asked 2 different front desk staff on different days for assisstance. They said they can't help, but didnt ask any questions, offer any problem solving options and tried to pass the problems on to others, so I think they were not wanting to help.

The staff that I encountered were very courteous. Kris was great at checkout & so was the woman who at check in. The hotel was quiet & my room was pretty clean. Negatives were mostly related to the condition of the room itself, the breakfast, & the smells. The kitchenette was in good shape, but all furniture was very shabby. The LVT floors were clean. Carpet was vacuumed but filthy. Breakfast was sad: packets of oatmeal, granola bars, & muffins. Glad I brought protein powder, but I had to buy a pint of milk. The odors were the worst, & almost made me leave. The room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke w/burn marks on the sink & toilet seat. Someone really should occasionally walk the halls to root out smokers, which brings me to my final complaint. The odor of marijuana was absolutely overpowering and offensive, especially first thing in the morning, which was nauseating, & when I first arrived on Wednesday night, & had to walk that gauntlet to get up to my room with all my luggage. Fortunately my room was at the end of the hall and directly across from the stairs, so I never had to leave that way. I will never stay here again.

The room was rough, lacked basic amenities. Chipped paint, taped up counter, sticky dirty floors. The bed was very uncomfortable The building was in rough shape. Recommend the building should be demolished.

The floor in our room was dirty. The filter on the air conditioner were covered with dust. The table the TV was on was dusty. There were no amenities. No coffee, no plates, no pots, no utensils. You coukd rent tgem for an extra fee. The breakfast was a cup of coffee and a stale muffin. It was cheap. And now I know why. Would not stay there sgain.

The air vent in the bathroom is missing a cover. The shower has cracks and needs to be resurfaced or a new overlay. There are black bugs flying around the bathroom. The glass rotating plate is missing from the microwave and the bottom lock is completely missing on the door. Nothing has been done since I stayed in room 132 November of 2023

Microwave in the room isn't working well, took too long to warm the food. TV needs upgraded, the sheets has stained on it. The fridge was leaking.

The room was kind of disappointing. We found a dog bone under the recliner chair, and it was no small bone. Also, the kitchen counter and table had some sticky stuff on it. I admit, it was tough to get off but we were able to remove it with a bit of elbow grease. Also, the drain in the kitchen sink was pretty dirty, probably grease because it was kind of brown. The toilet water pressure must have been low because TP didn't going down everytime. (We ended up using a hanger a couple of times to finally get it down.) And, the tub drained really slow. There was probably about 3" of water in the tube after a pretty normal shower that eventually drained out, but well after the shower was completed.

Outdated. It is what it is. Kitchen had no silverware or plates. My friend’s room had 3 guests and she went downstairs to get a towel for 3rd guest, they said there was only a 2 limit. My friend went to a local store and bought towels. The same worker only gave her 1 key and she asked for 2 he basically made an excuse why he couldn’t but I was offered 2 keys and I was by myself.

Sprayed for roaches while we were in the room. No pots/pans/utinsels. No coffee maker. Old, dirty, worn out and broken down mattresses. Stay next door at the Hilton. The Hilton is worth the extra $30/night.

First off when I arrived, it took 10min to get inside the lobby. They claimed they were doing a shift change. I get to my room, there’s no remote for the tv. I call the front desk for 30min straight no answer. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

I called the day that my husband and I was leaving asking for a late check in, on the way from Ohio we had a tire blow out, so we arrived around 2:45 am wanting to check in, The front, desk lady then told me that She couldn’t get me in before 3 o’clock because she didn’t have enough time, she said that at 3 o’clock all reservations are canceled. She then told me that I would have to pay $121 for that day at the hotel plus another $121 because of an early check in

The lady who checked us in was fabulous. Room smelled like a stale ashtray. glad I bought some body spray to freshen up the room. I also didn't realize this was a homeless shelter. Not where I wanted to spend my weekend. We slept and left!!!

Certain parts of the room were clean. The outside of the refrigerator was noticeably dirty. Also, there were parts of the room that were a bit run down. The part of the hotel I stayed in seemed to be going under renovation, as the ceiling was missing. However, I didn’t see anyone working to fix it, so maybe it wasn’t a Reno. There was also a strange knocking noise every so often. Oh, and I saw a baby roach on my last night. Was happy to get out of there. I did like the fact that it was by the mall. Very unlikely I’ll stay here again unless it’s an emergency. Just spend the extra money for a better hotel.

The refrigerator had the previous guests food left in it. When pulling back the covers the sheets had hair on them. The shower did not have shower curtain. When I asked for a shower curtain, I was told to hang it myself. I checked out early. The manager did investigate the trouble and did issue a monetary settlement for the inconveniences.

We left and demanded a full refund. I will mention only one problem; the smoke detector was covered with plastic, rendering it inoperable. I will never use Extended Stay America again.

We chose this hotel because we were doing a quick two daytrip between Ohio and Skokie. The room was not equiped with anything, no coffee pot ,had to go to the desk and request one. The phone didn't work to call the desk.We chose this hitel so we could have the breakfast at 7am. Their breakfast included, wrapped muffins,no juice , decaf instant coffee, their coffee had supposedly broken a couple days before. That is not a breakfast. I feel we should be reimbursed, for the false advertising, like I said kitchette was not equiped with anything. This place was very disappointing.
