We had a wonderful time. The one bedroom suite fit all our needs. The morning breakfast was five star!! Great variety and delicious. Next to Amtrak for convenience and close to UC Berkeley and San Francisco Bay Area. We enjoyed the safe feeling as well. We will happily stay there again!!

Comfortable suite with plenty of space. Was just there for one night. Only issue was that the hotel is next to a train station, so you get train noise if you have a facing room. I wasn't bothered by it so much, but it was noticeable. Otherwise, it was close to the market with good restaurants and the water, but not an area I'd walk around too much.

First we requested a bay view didnt happen. No bar service on weekend? No food service except the same breakfast. Staff Rhianna on the night shift needs customer service class. Was told laundry was 3.00 a load. When i told Rhianna it charged more she informed me she has nothing to do with that. Hyatt is an upscale hotel needs more amenities. We were in room 425. Half the sockets didnt work to charge phones. Left room at 9 am. Came back at 3 pm room still not ckeaned. Will not recommend this hotel

Between inconsiderate guests and Amtrack being adjacent to the hotel, it was noisy in the morning. They serve a delicious breakfast and the stash is great. This is an older hotel and the rugs need to be replaced.

Our car got broken on it and stole our belongings. Even we paid $25 per night only for the parking !!

The property's cleanliness was average, the staff was very nonchalant. Guest were loud and getting high on the 10th floor, they failed to do anything about it, but asked me if I wanted to move. The policy's that were in place to keep quest comfortable was simply not enforced. I would not recommend this hotel no matter how close it is to the train station. Go to Hilton people!

Very nice room, included a kitchen, (missing a toaster though), Super clean, decent price for being in the Bay Area. My only pet peeve is they charge $22/night for parking.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving. It was nice, the room was clean and the staff checking us in was super friendly. The area felt safe and it seemed well lit in the parking lot. Breakfast was good. The only thing we really didn't like was that when we checked into our room on the second floor the balcony sliding door was unlocked and so was the window. It wouldn't have been a big deal if there wasn't a platform right outside the window and off the balcony. It would have been nice to have a security bar to close the door instead of just the flimsy lock on the slider - it looked like there was a place for one but it wasn't there. Overall, we will definitely stay again.

The Hyatt House is centrally located and has easy AND quick access to the Freeways. The room I stayed in had a full kitchenette with an electric cooktop, microwave oven, fridge, plates and utensils and a dishwasher. It does not have a regular baking oven. The hotel is reasonably quite and offers free breakfast. The back section of rooms in the hotel are a bit noisy because of railway tracks that run behind the building. Parking is $22.00 per night. There is no water fountain or such in the building. You can get tap water from your room kitchenette. Some of the hallway carpets are showing their age and, the floors and walls of the elevators can use some cleaning and buffing. The building driveway has some sections with very rough and worn paving that could damage your suitcase if wheeled or dragged across it.

Great location for a field trip to Berkeley with my son. I loved that breakfast was included and we were able to walk to other restaurants close by. The room was very clean and well stocked.

Well located for Amtrak riders as it's basically just across the tracks. Could do with better signage from the parking lot as to where the actual entrance is though. My room has a great view of the bay, and really appreciated the easy instructions setup streaming from my own devices to the room tvs.

Our room was on the 10th floor, away from the elevators and quiet as requested. Except for the trains and Amtrak blasting their horns every now and then. The room next to us was being fumigated. The room was dated, couch was lumpy, pull out bed sagged in the middle. On the plus side, we enjoyed the full kitchen with fridge and stove, the king bed was comfortable, full size closet was a nice surprise and the bathroom size was good. Front desk service at check in was excellent and pleasant. Another plus was the free breakfast with hot food and coffee.

Upon check-in, I wrote all my guests name down on the paper provided and notified the front desk that my 5th guest was coming later. To which he replied, "Just write their name down." Once my guest arrived, he proceeded to claim that I never wrote their name down and that he would have to charge extra even though my hotel room was reserved for 5 guests. I understand that this location is understaffed, but that's not an excuse to be rude and try to charge me extra when it clearly states my room is for 5 guests. Also, parking was supposed to be free according to the website, but I was charged $22 and wasn't even notified of it. Great hotel, but not the best communication from the front desk.
