My Wife and I booked this hootel pretty much last minute as our plans were foiled by weather.
Found the place easy enough, ample parking if you're not in a Large SUV or Motorhome.
Clean, neat, hot wayer with ample pressure.
For Huntington Beach, affordable.
Ocean View is an old hotel. Since being buit many homes and a huge concrete privacy fence have gone up across the hiway (CA-1) and there are barely peekaboo views of the Pacific.
Needs updating and maybe some style.
Many comments about the constant road noise...well YEAH Hwy 1 is a 4 lane 55mph road 80 feet from your window.
We slept fine, but if you need quiet, this isn't your place.
Wasn't wild about the $100 deposit, but you are warned upfront about that.
Rude? Naw, just immigrants that are trying to make a living and aren't that outgoing.
Overall I give it "Adequate"

Although an older, budget conscious lodging; it was very clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and attended to all of our needs quickly and with a smile.
The coffee shop next door was fantastic.
The whirlpool tub was the bomb!

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. Fridge and microwave available which was nice. On PCH so a lot of traffic noise which tapered off later but started again fairly early. Obstructed cries of ocean and lagoon. Area appeared safe with coastal vibe. Would definitely come back if I needed accommodation in the area.

The motel is right on PCH across the street from Sunset Beach, so it's in a great location. However, being right next to PCH, it is very noisy, and you will hear traffic all night long. Very simple accomodations.

There’s a reason this place is so cheap. Everything is filthy, outdated is an understatement, and, most of all, other than the maid the staff is so ungodly rude for absolutely no reason, it was mind blowing. My husband called the front desk for a couple extra hand towels and not only did the owner flat out refuse to give them to us, he tried to tell us we had to check out 2 hours before checkout, and then proceeded to scream, “IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!” when my husband politely asked why he couldn’t spare 2 extra hand towels. Save yourself the time and money, this place is a disgusting joke of an establishment ran by even more disgusting people.

This motel was very inconvenient says it’s across from ocean but there is a wall so you cannot get to the ocean easily. The motel was way to pricey for what you get in a room.

The room was adequate. The owners were very rude and not friendly at all. Coffee shop next door was great. Never stay again.

It was okay. It served its purpose. I had a place to stay for the night. For a hotel called Ocean view, there was no ocean view. Just a view of the vacation rentals across the street. Unfortunately, the bed was so hard, and the pillows were more like throw pillows, so it was the most uncomfortable sleep I've ever had in a hotel. I tried to warm some food up in the microwave and something didn't fit right, because the glass plate inside kept hitting the door of the microwave. I'm not sure if it was a little turning mechanism or the glass plate but it didn't fit correctly so I stopped using it so I wouldn't break anything. That's also the first hotel I stayed in that did not have the little extra added security towards the top of the door so that if someone tried to come in, the door would only open an inch, so didn't sleep well for that reason as well because the door was not secure. It served it's purpose, but I doubt I'll stay there again

Terrible customer service from the front office. Not friendly, and kept stipulating to get out at 11 am checkout. Came in very tired and late at night, and she was only concerned about getting out at 11am. I usually stay at Surf City next door, but they where full. I will stick with their neighbor only in this area. Across the street fro the beach.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had to restart the cable box everytime I turned on the tv. The fridge wasn’t plugged in when I arrived so I also had to do that. Other than that it was fine

If all you need is a clean bed & bathroom, it is a good choice. A lot of noise from the highway & I could hear the man next door snoring, but as a woman traveling alone I felt safe there. I didn’t want to spend money on a nicer hotel, but this was perfectly adequate for my needs. I would recommend if you don’t need a fancy hotel.

The staff was friendly and accommodating! The noise on the street and rooms next door where loud! The room was clean! No iron or blanket, just a sheet and thin top bed cover! It never found the spa! I’m guessing it’s a bathtub spa, which was not in n my room!

We only went there because it was the cheapest motel in the area. There is no ocean view by the way. Bed was comfortable. Floors could've been cleaner. We kept slipping in the bath tub, guess that says it was clean. Towels were really worn out but good enough. Microwave and fridge is a good thing not a lot of motels have so I'll applaud them for that. If you’re going to check in really late, I recommend you let them know in advance. We got there like at 10pm and the front desk man was asleep so it took a lot of calling and ringing the doorbell to get him up.
