Beautiful room, great design, great sun/pool/hot tub amenities. Would like more food/restaurant choices. Very nice!

I am not a big fan of the vegas strip. I visit vegas to see family and relax, and don't really go for the tourist attractions and night life. GVR was a lovely hotel, some of the prettiest and most well designed rooms and baths I've seen in vegas. It was near the District shopping center and whole foods, so you dont have to get bloated on reataurant food the whole time you are there. The pool are was gorgeous and there was a small
starbucks set up right near the east tower where I stayed and the pool, so I could drink my coffee on the cabanas every morning before the pool opened and it got crowded. The gym was small, yet well equipped with a gorgeous view of the pool. I am a member of Lifetime Fitness which is right across the street. Very convenient for me, but the small gym at the hotel was much more enjoyable, and hardly anyone else used it. The spa was also phenomenal. Great massage therapists and amenities, like the hot tub and sauna in the women's area. Great snacks too. If you absolutely have to be in Vegas, stay here instead of the strip!
