I loved the theme and the fact that there is so much to do right here on the property. One thing that needs to be addressed are the pull out sofas and cloth sitting chairs. They are very dirty on the arms and some of the seats. I visited several rooms and noticed it to be the same everywhere. It would be a nice touch to provide some coffee/tea for the rooms. Everything else was very enjoyable.

Great spot right on the beach. Pool, tiki bar, volleyball, 4 hole mini-golf, probably more that we didn't take advantage of. Rooms very clean. Lots of parking. Staff was very nice.

Wonderful resort! Beautiful retro decor, beautiful room. Daily free happy hour. Pool, cornhole, shuffle board. Anna and Tyrell are personable and helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here.

My family and I have stayed multiple times and it has always been a great experience. We loved it so much, we ended up staying until the 22nd and got a great rate on the Gulf front top balcony room. This was our final beach getaway for the season and we couldn't have enjoyed our time more. Until next time Plaza, we will see you when the ocean warms up again!! -The Reynolds

This hotel exceeded my expectations! My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend, flew in Friday, left late Monday night.
We arrived to the hotel on Friday, our room wasn’t ready for check in yet, but Cherish at the front desk said we were more than welcome to explore the property and use the pool and accommodations at the hotel until our room was ready for check in.
My boyfriend and I sleep with a box fan on, so I had asked the front desk on the first night if they had an extra fan we could use for our stay. Within 15 minutes, another staff member knocked on our door and we had the fan.
The front desk had texted me throughout the stay to see how everything was, and if we needed anything to let them know. The beach was so close and within walking distance from our room, which was a HUGE plus! I loved this! No need to haul a beach bag for miles!
The pool was wonderful too, and not to mention the Tiki Bar! It was a fun added addition. We got to watch people play beach volleyball and the beach at night was gorgeous.
There were shuffleboard and corn hole boards to play, and a smile kids area that had sand toys and everything.
We cannot wait to come back to this hotel! The staff, other patrons, and atmosphere and environment was 10/10. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff really goes above and beyond! Our staff was fabulous!

This was our second trip this year to Plaza Beach Resorts. The location is great, the beach is not super crowded and you can walk to nearby restaurants. The view from our room is amazing , we love sitting on the balcony, being able to relax and enjoy it all!

I liked that it is a relatively small facility with a fun 50's theme. Soundproofing was great; didn't hear noise from other units. Nice outdoor tables for coffee, lunch, etc. The pool was spotless, warm, and in view of the beach. Beach access was very easy and there were colorful Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset. The only (minor) drawbacks were that the dresser veneer was peeling and the coffee (which is provided free in the morning) was weak. I would stay there again.

Small and quiet. Great beach access. Maybe , just a fresh scent from air conditioners. Room was clean, but a musky odor. Fridge leaked on and off. Loved the homey feel and staff was excellent!! Would love to come back with rest of family!

Very nice people working there. However, we were disappointed in the room from the pictures that we saw. For what we paid, we would’ve expected clean towels every day, and at least some water to drink. We will not go back in the future. We will be staying at the Hilton hotel down the street. Many more amenities for a much better price with up to date rooms.Sorry I could not give up a much better review. However, that is how we saw it.

They work hard to give it a social feel. Happy hour. The main attraction is only two stories pool tiki bar beach are all right there from any of the rooms. Grocery and reataurants all easy walking distance. Private area of the beach with free chairs and volleyball. Little grottos to hang out in.

This is a funky retro motel with a lot of character. The staff is super nice and they are on it. An older property like so many on the beach but well maintained and clean! The hotel room was a mini suite with fridge, sink, cooktop and plenty of room. I like the vibe here!

Our first trip to St.Pete Beach and the resort was amazing! Close to the beach, just steps away from the sand! Amazing and friendly staff! Housekeeping was also so friendly and anything u needed they was there in a second(not that we needed anything), we had just ask for some extra of something and we had it within minutes! The view is awesome! Highly suggest eating at Shells Seafood which is within a couple minutes from resort! Anything u need is pretty much within walking distance!

Location is great everything for a weekend trip is in walking distance. But there was roaches in our room. Not an infestation but we saw 6 or 7 . We by no means have roaches in our house so really don’t like it when we are paying to stay at a hotel

Loved the stay here we are kind of locals and sometimes it’s easier to travel outside the us but we love our beaches and this hotel was just perfect here for just a night( my birthday) but it was definitely more than we expected. All the employees were super attentive and friendly and made our 2 days feel like we were at home, can’t wait to come back soon.

The resort is old but very well maintained. Our room was very clean, and the staff very friendly. Small tiki bar, lovely clean pool, and a stone's throw to beautiful St. Pete's Beach. We would definitely go back.

This hotel is a dump. Had to wait to check in, staff is rude and uncaring. Room smelled; couch had stains all over it. Just disgusting. Wouldn't let my dog stay there.

I selected this location through Expedia as a location with "Ocean View" and it is advertised as an "Ocean View" location. However, when I got there I was told that they don't have such rooms and that all rooms are only "Partial view" which is a very small window overlooking the ocean, this is very misleading to customers. Additionally, the linens were smelly as if they have not been replaced. front staff were polite. Location is great but building is a 2 floor old building and very small. If you decide to go here be aware that is not what they advertise. I don't recommend it.

It's a great location literally only a few min walk to the ocean from the rooms. Beds were comfortable but the fitted sheets were pilled and that was slightly uncomfortable to sleep on. They have a lot of free activities like sand bag toss, connect 4, foosball, mini golf, etc. The pool was clean and we enjoyed it as well as the tiki bar.
We had a great stay except there were shards of broken glass on the floor of our room when we arrived. I found it when I stepped on it and luckily didn't get cut. We swept it up ourselves and just let them know as an FYI. They said that's strange and apologized. We found broken glass again on our checkout day outside our door right next to our daughter's shoes. Housekeeping had placed the new sheets for the next guest on the chair outside in anticipation of cleaning when we checked out. It seems like the glass fell off the sheets. The hotel desk employee apologized again and said they will tell the housekeeping and laundry. I don't know if we will stay again because of the glass happening twice. I'm so glad my daughter didn't get cut, she would have been so uncomfortable during the vacation, but it easily could have happened. It was a disappointing thing that kind of affected our positive experience unfortunately.

Over all we had an amazing time. Room was clean and comfortable! Private beach was amazing. Pool area was nice! Only downside was no food on property, and they do charge $10 per person to be able to use amenities such as the pool! Otherwise we had a wonderful time

I was thought this was a good place to stay and may stay here again. The room wasn't perfect but was very good. I staff didn't go overboard but was very good.It was a good location and had fun perks. The pool dolphin fountain was a nice surprise and the folks at Chris's bar were friendly.

THE BEACH BAR!

Customer Service: It was originally a five star hands down, but as our stay went on, I felt like there was a little bit of lip service with the broken sliding door and a level of indifference when it was brought up for the third time at checkout. Otherwise, the staff were fantastic and super friendly.
Rooms: if you do your research, you will know that the property in general is dated. But that is okay if your priority is fun, chill and a balcony view. My biggest complaint is that there are very easy maintenance fixes that would up my review. There is no reason that the slider to the balcony should have had the hardware that it did. It was clearly in need of repair months ago. There was a large gash in the headboard. The couch has a hardwood board that is settled between the cushions and pullout. The paint could be refreshed for a nominal dollar amount (i.e. behind the fridge).
Location: 5 stars, can't beat it. Amazing sunsets, good area.
Amenities: Dated in some respects. There is a ping pong table, chess and a small mini golf course we discovered on our way out. They have fabulous volleyball courts and a great pool!
Cleanliness - 5 star. The property was very clean.
Many other local places have hidden fees, events, amenities not included). The plaza is transparent with their fees. That is a big pro side for me.
Would I stay again? Yes, hands down.
