Overall stay was good, location excellent! Twin room was very tight they need to update pictures as they were not a true likeness on arrival!

We had a comfortable stay for a night before going to airport in the morning, very handy for bus/train/tram stations and a reasonable price

We had a lovely stay at the Haymarket Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and considerate. Nothing was too much bother for them.
We have stayed in 5 star hotels where the rooms were not as clean as they are at the Haymarket.
Ben linen and towels were of the highest quality

Hotel lovelly room could of been a bit warmer ,breakfast was a bit expensive ,lovelly small courtyard handy if your a smoker

Good service and quick check in.
As it was my first time staying there, they even gave me a voucher for a free drink at the bar.
Nice big room and comfortable bed, everything spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was rather expensive, but at least it was good.
Would recommend.

Large rooms with comfortable beds

ideally located close to edinburgh, with many dining options around and supermarkets.
However, there were cobwebs in my room, and the internet didn't work. In fact, I couldn't even get signal on my phone to call people or hotspot my laptop to get some work done.

Overnight stay before early flight in the morning. The room was in the basement so no pleasant outlook. But perfect for us. Great location, very friendly staff and very comfortable. We will definitely book next time

Overall I had a great stay. The only negative was the single mattress in my room - it felt very old and worn out and in need of replacing. If I'd been staying longer than one night, I would have said something to the staff (all were very friendly). Other than that, very pleased with my stay.

Great value for money hotel, a short 10 minuet walk to the centre. The downstairs bar ‘Logan’s’ was great and cheap.

Great location near Waverley station. Great price!

Welcome was excellent, although bit surprised to be put in an annexe building on second floor with no lift. The room was spacious and fairly equipped, but fitments very tired, as was I after a disrupted night with a a mechanised whirring noise sporadically occurring but which I couldn’t track down I reported this, and the awful wifi which only occasionally functioned for minutes now and again, infuriating.
Price was fair, location ideal, and staff very pleasant.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, spacious room, powerful shower, quiet location walkable to city centre and perfect for Haymarket tram/ train.

Comprised of elegant town houses this hotel offers a real west end Edinburgh vibe. Room was a little sparse but clean, comfortable and quiet. Cooked breakfast was great!

I needed a place to crash for the night before an early morning flight. The Haymarket Hotel was in the perfect location for getting to and from both the city centre and the airport, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly!

The hotel is near tram and buses. I like the breakfast options, and it is included in my boarding. The room service is good. But I could hear loud noises made by other people, late at night. So I woke up at midnight.

Great friendly staff and spacious clean rooms. Varied breakfast. Definitely stay again.

It doesn’t looks like a hotel.

Lovely staff, excellent breakfast, charming tidy rooms and great location.

We stayed in the basement of the Stuart building. Room was very spacious large en-suite and the amenities you would expect. What let the room down was poor sound proofing to the rooms above. We could hear them walking around in their heels on the wooden floor could hear them laughing and wheeling their suitcase. We were woken up in the early hours when the guests of the room above us came back from having a night out. We were woken up again the following night for the same reason. There were also strange loud plumbing sounds from the room next to us that also disturbed my sleep. The bed had a duvet cover that was too large for the size of duvet inside so my husband had a duvet cover on top of him but no duvet at times. That was a big disappointment for us but we had the heating on all night so we were warm. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location for central Edinburgh & transport links.
The hotel is o.k but could do with the plumbing upgrades for water pressure & drain smell.
Avoid the rooms in the basements !

Lovely hotel. We stayed in the main hotel. No lift and no one to help with bags. Room was gorgeous and very spacious. Super convenient for our final two nights in Scotland as the tram to airport was less than 5 min. walk. Hotel was walking distance to Royal Mile, shops and restaurants.

Not just me, although by the end of this stay I was. I am not usually one for negative reviews
Uninterested condescending staff. An old tired room with only two lights working in the ceiling and the “bedside light” had the light of the sun and no shade and was directly above my head. A key fob so large it wont fit in jeans pockets so how do I safely go out in the evening?
The tap in the bathroom has H and C - putting it onto C for cold water and I could have made tea with it. Oh tea, the kettle didn’t work.
Upon leaving at 530am for an early flight I could not get it into the main hotel building, finally the door opened on a chain and I was told to wait there whilst he shuffled off somewhere.
And it was expensive. A thoroughly disappointing trip. I would not recommend

Receptionist was very helpful and kindly helped with luggage upstairs which was much appreciated.
Hotel is very convenient for Haymarket station and trams .

Really lovely and personable hotel in some older (but very well-maintained) buildings in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly with both the check in and check out process and were able to kindly hold our bags while we went on a tour during check out day. Of note for some, there are stairs to access buildings and no lifts- not a problem for us, but just as a reference for those with mobility concerns. Close to Haymarket station for trams/train service, though it is a short and manageable walk to central Edinburgh. Would certainly stay here again or recommend to travelling friends. The room itself we had was on the 1st floor with three twin beds and was surprisingly spacious. No A/C, but there was a nice breeze from the open windows.

Staff very helpful and informative
Unfortunately our room was downstairs directly under entrance/hallway we could hear every footstep and conversations throughout the night so not a good night sleep at all, bed was ok, window has a blind which does not stop the light coming through early in the morning and the room is next door to the kitchen and staff and again woken very early with staff preparing for breakfast which was very noisy
Unfortunately for the money we paid we did not get a good night’s sleep it was very disappointing
Plus side the location is superb walking distance into the city about 20 mins, trams running regularly and cheep
Some lovely eating places and restaurants along route

Nothing impressive, but it was clean.

Felt that for the price breakfast at least could have been included. I realize it's August, but this was the most expensive hotel we have ever stayed in and it was booked in April.

Hotel (an old town house) was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly. Not really disabled friendly so wouldnt recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Outside stairs and all rooms are either upstairs or downstairs. Our room was on ground floor so down 3 small flights of narrow stairs. Room was very nice but door to outside was stuck so not good in the event of any issues. The double bed creaked loudly and was hard. Daughter who was also with us (we had classic family room) said her bed was hard. Pricewise was fine as its the tattoo and the Fringe. Had a couple of drinks but was surprised that there was no Róse wine only red or white. Breakfast which ws extra was either Continental or standard. We decided against either and just hopped on a bus home.

Hotel room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was great but I would have liked some complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately we had a room that was right on the street and so it was a bit too noisy very early in the morning.

Hotels converted from homes in London are plentiful. Some are good, some not so much. The Haymarket was done correctly, with pride in their establishment and they hire good people to staff it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Haymarket. Our room was below street level, and it ended up being cool and pretty quiet, even though we were staying in late July. We enjoyed having the bar area in the hotel as well. One note, we would recommend NOT paying for the breakfast from the hotel, but instead you can walk literally right across the street to a cute little cafe that had delicious and reasonably priced breakfast.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel staff are glad to assist in every way. We booked one of the bigger rooms and apart from being a large room it was so nicely decorated and fresh.

We stayed at Haymarket after realizing I'd miscounted the nights we were staying in Edinburgh ~ I wish we'd stayed here all three nights. Convenient location for both public transport and walking to the popular destinations. Polite staff.

Cool and trendy area. Looks a bit sketch at first glance but it actually is a really nice area.

Great location on the tram. Stayed just one night but had everything we needed. Good clean room

Lovely hotel in a great location for a decent price. Lots of love cafes around and east walking distance into the city centre.
Only downside was that the walls were quite thin and the doors were really heavy so we were woken up by people leaving the building in the morning, but bring earplugs and you’ll be golden.
