We were impressed with our stay at the Dover hotel. We stayed in the family room which was compact but clean and tidy and just what we needed for an overnight stay in London. Breakfast was cereal, juice and toast - a more than adequate start to the day. We would be happy to return again.

The staff were helpful and friendly at check-in, and the desk was open 24-hours. We were able to leave our luggage before check-in, which was useful. Both of the rooms we stayed in were very clean and had plenty of space for us. Breakfast was a definite highlight; the ladies were kind and were efficient in clearing/setting the tables so people could eat right away. There were juices, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals, yogurt, and stacks of warm toast with honey/jams/Nutella. Check out was very quick. We enjoyed our stay here (also the location is excellent; 5-10 minutes walk to Victoria).

Super location. Friendly and helpful staff. Yes, it's only a 2 star hotel, but for just sleeping there it is the perfect place.

I like a perfect location 10min near Victoria station. Everything else was mediocre - clog in sink, tiny room, light directly to window. Continental breakfast without cheese or salami. Creaky floor, no soundproof between rooms on the floor. Good to spend a night-two between bus excursions from Victoria bus station. Hardly fits to stay longer.

I liked it, I knew that it is very small, only if you travel with a carry-on suitcase will you be able to accommodate it, but it is very clean, the location is formidable, just one block from Victoria station, it does not have an elevator.

Our room was in the basement, screen on window was ripped open, TV didn’t work. Because the room was warm we had to open the window and the street noise is loud…we did not sleep well.The location is excellent, however this property is showing its wear. They did fix the TV 24 hours later.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dover. The room was small but was all we needed, staff was great and hotel was was a short walk to Victoria Station & many landmarks and restaurants. We always felt very safe.

Conveniently located within a short walk from both Victoria train station and Victoria coach station. The room is quite small for two people but I guess that is the average size for an affordable hotel in central London. Breakfast provided is nothing to write home about.

The personal was very attentive. The property look small for outside but the rooms are very clean modern and clean any extras you need they give to you with no problem, always smile face , BF free shipping and restaurants are very convenient and it’s a small store on the corner I get water and other items so you don’t miss nothing the price it’s good too.

I picked this hotel b/c it was the only one in a central location that had a room that could accommodate a family of 5. I’m so sorry I did. I wish I just booked 2 rooms at any other hotel. The hotel itself is in a convenient location. But that’s pretty much the only good thing about it. The room we stayed in had 1 full bed & 3 twin beds. It was in the basement of the hotel & the configuration of the room was in an awkward, tight “L” shape. The beds were horrible. Like the oldest, most unsupportive mattresses ever in existence. It’s like they got them off of the curb after someone else threw them out. We probably would have had a better night sleep if we slept on the floor or on park bench. Yes, the mattresses were THAT bad. The room was clean-ish … there weren’t any visible bugs. But there were stains all over the carpeting that we all just jumped over as we scooted up against the wall to get around the room. The bathroom, although clean, was SMALL. 2 people couldn’t be in there at the same time. At that point, we were just happy we had a bathroom in our room & not a shared bathroom down the hall like in the movie ‘European Vacation’. We were only there for 2 nights, otherwise we definitely would’ve left & paid whatever extra money to be anywhere else. Of the 2 nights we were there, it rained outside AND inside the hotel. Major flooding in the ‘breakfast room’ & the walls of our actual room were visibly soaking wet.

This hotel was very convenient thanks to its central location near the Victoria train station, supermarkets, theaters and bus lines. The bedroom was small but very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel does not provide anything, no shampoo etc which is basic to most hotels. The only thing good with the hotel is the accessibility to eateries and scenic places. Front desk person was helpful and nice.

Recently stayed here for one night while going to hospital in london was perfect for what we needed was slightly noisy but didn't stop us from sleeping and hotel needs a bit of tlc but would stay again if needed staff were friendly and helpful as well. Free breakfast was basic of toast and cereal but was fine for us.

Have become used to complimentary toiletries in hotels, had to shop for my own after not having any in the toom. Layout of the room wasn't great with heavy door and step down to get between bed and toilet. Was expecting more based on previous scores.

Really nice stay, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds are fantastic to sleep in, it is quiet from the street. My room was at the top, and no lift so kind of hard to get there. And bring your own soap/schampoo. There is small soaps so it's okay :) Breakfast was okay with toast, marmalade and Nutella, of course coffee, tea and juice. My brothers children said 5/5 points! I say 4/5 because of the stairs. Thank you!

Great hotel, good location, affordable and friendly. If you want contemporary and slick this isn’t for you and you’ll have to pay more. But the team was very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Highly recommend

avoid this hotel at all costs! we were a group traveling to London for 4 nights ...on our second day a girl from the group lost her cigarette case and a day later I lost my wallet! All my credit cards, id, driving license, and cash were in my wallet. Not only didn't they help out but also they acted like nothing happened! they gave me the wrong police station number when they could just mention 999 for reporting my loss...The guy in the reception was really anxious!! 3 days after leaving the hotel my bank informed me that someone tried to withdraw money from my cards and at the same time Dover hotel send me an email saying that "There was a problem with the payment method you provided at booking. To keep the reservation, you’ll need to contact the hotel and provide a valid payment method within 24 hours." Of course, I didn't try to make a new reservation there after all that so it's clear to me that someone stole our staff and tried to withdraw my money through booking! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE .... AVOID THAT HOTEL AT ALL COST !!!!!!!!!!!!!
