Upscale resort with 2 outdoor pools and 2 spa tubs Along with a marina, this smoke-free resort has 2 outdoor pools and a golf course. Self parking is free. Other amenities include a restaurant, a fitness center, and a bar/lounge. Lakehouse Resort offers 143 air-conditioned accommodations with complimentary bottled water and coffee/tea makers. Pillowtop beds feature down comforters. Televisions come with pay movies. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include irons/ironing boards and blackout drapes/curtains. Housekeeping is provided daily. Guests can play rounds at the 18-hole golf course and enjoy other recreation facilities including 3 outdoor tennis courts, a marina, and complimentary bicycles. 2 outdoor swimming pools and 2 spa tubs are on site. Other recreational amenities include a fitness center. Children under 18 years old are not allowed in the swimming pool or fitness facility without adult supervision. It was awesome.

My family enjoyed our stay. We had 3 rooms and all were very clean. My complaint is the iron in my room had rust coming out of it and stained my husbands jeans. I got the iron from my daughters room and the cord would not stay out. The AC in my daughters room would not work. They opened the slider and were comfortable. Otherwise we really loved the resort and will be back again.

Loved it! From the moment you pull into yhe lobby you are greeted with pleasant staff and the Aesthetics. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cute hotel the room needed some attention, paint pealing in the bathroom , strange smell ! The box spring was super gross it looked as if someone pissed on it

The property was awesome with lots to do and see. The staff was five star for sure and the special touches they put into the stay was amazing. You have to stay here to know what I’m talking about. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the memory foam mattress and feather pillows. I like my bed and pillows hard, but that’s my preference. Everything else was perfect and I can’t wait to come back and stay again.

The reviews I read made the front desk staff seem so friendly but I didn’t feel that way at check in. We went to see if this is a place we might want to get married at but no one was around for service to show us the areas or prices of anything. We walked around ourselves and figured it out. The lake is very small and there are a ton of pontoon boats there but not much else. The carpet in the hallways we stayed is very warm. While the tub jn the room was a nice touch, it took forever to fill from the ceiling fountain and water for everywhere. Above us was a family with two kids that we could hear bouncing around and jumping all night so not a lot of sleep. Pool and hot tub closed at 9 so we didn’t have a chance to use it. Overall I was kind of dissapointed.

So close but no cigar... I say this because the reception staff could have made a bigger impact knowing this was my 1st stay. They could have educated me about what is included in my stay, where to go for activities, how to sign up up, etc.. etc.. but they failed miserably. I had to discover them for myself and missed out on fun activities after the fact. The only staff that cared more about me and my well visit was the pool staff. I found the grounds to be in great condition and free of litter but I was quite surprised by the lack of care to the carpet in my room as it seemed quite dirty and stained. The room really needed some upgrades to bring it into the age of electronics. It just seemed a little lacking but if you overlook these things, it was an peaceful place to stay.

Delightful "little" unknown resort on a lake in San Marcos. Quiet, plenty of scenic walking options, restaurant choices, and the room was large clean and bright. A few areas to note: $80 resort fee was over-the-top excessive (unless you were canoeing, playing golf or paddle boarding); the water pressure was low (last I checked, the drought was over); only one sink in the bathroom (for a resort that caters to vacations for couples/families, there should be two); was asked if I wanted daily maid service (I said yes), and then my towels were not replaced and neither was my in-room coffee. Small things, I know, but overall I enjoyed my stay would definitely return.

Room is incredibly outdated, bathroom was very dirty, had spit from the previous people who stayed all over the mirrors, carpets are horrendous dirty… stains everywhere!
The showers glass down didn’t work correctly so after a shower, the floor was a puddle. We stayed on the bottom floor. We had kids running around all night. They moved us to another room. All the furniture is dated and dirty, not to mention the restaurants around the hotel sucked. Worst food I’ve ever had in my life. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great stay in one of the beautiful cottages. The view was great on the lake and the fire pit was a must on a chilly night.

My stay at the lake resort was disappointing. The tranquility I expected was shattered by noisy kids running wild. The service was awful , and to add to the frustration, there were no working speakers, and the phone was broken, making it impossible to contact the front desk for assistance. The TV didn't work, the lighting was subpar, and the walls appeared dingy. Improvement is needed for a more comfortable stay. At the Grill The extended wait for the check was disappointing and reflects poorly on the service. The overall dining experience was negative .After such an unsatisfactory experience at the Lake Resort and decided to leave early. Unfortunately, I was surprised to be charged a fee for early departure. It seems unfair to penalize guests for wanting to address their dissatisfaction. The resort's policy in this regard could use reconsideration to prioritize customer satisfaction.

Initially we were not happy with our room. After we visited with the housekeeper who happened to be right outside, she recommended that we request a room change. I went to the front desk and we were immediately moved to another room. We were very happy after the switch.
Be aware that 2 pets are allowed per room. if you have allergies or are not a pet lover be sure you ask for a room far away from pets.

Rooms are small, basic and a bit tired. Stairs are required to access 2nd floor rooms. Breakfast restaurant at this resort was closed during Christmas morning which seemed odd. Nothing special about this resort; not likely we will return.

Very clean only thing was the shower was clogged but it was quiet and seemed like there was alot to do. Wish more avtivities were included with the stay. Staff was very nice and helpful the rooms were nice and had alot of space.

This property is great, very fun events. We went to the igloos Christmas event, and had a great time, great food and drinks. Staying at this property is always a pleasure

The property was great. We visited mid-December and they have a ton of Christmas lights and an event on site that is free for hotel guests with a nighttime boat ride to see decorated houses. There are also fire pits and s’more kits in the room. The kids had a great time.

An amazing hotel experience for a cheap price too! At first I was skeptical due to the price being much lower than other hotels however, they did not leave us disappointed! My partner and I loved the hotel room and the amenities left for us. Amazing front desk service and care. Amazing lake activities! Restaurant! And even community pool! Unfortunately we could only stay one night but we will definitely be coming back! Checking in and out was a very simple process and the staff was very kind and generous. Definitely a good cheap getaway!

The floors were bad and squeaky and made noise. My downstairs neighbors complained from our walking in the room upstairs. They complained so many times that management called the police and had us trespassed, no questions asked, did not take into account anything from us. Extremely rude and condescending staff and even worse police. Completely ruined the wedding weekend we were in town for. I will be actively telling my friends and colleagues to avoid this property and to not waste their time and money

The night staff the last night she had a bad disposition about her and made some bad judgment. Dont stay in the upstairs units extreemly thin baseboards and they might ask you not to walk or enjoy your stay in your unit!!!

horrible pillows and the beds are extremely hard. They also accused someone in my party of stealing a golf cart when it was younger adults who were blonde and not brunette. They did not really investigate properly when the kids were giving incorrect room numbers and names.
