The resort is beautiful. The landscaping, the pools, etc, beautiful. The cost of food & beverages is RIDICOULOUS. SOOOO expensive. A cup of hot tea with 2 tea bags is $10 . That's so stupid. They're basically no alcoholic drinks less than $14 and that's mixed drink where they control the alcohol. If you want a glass of wine it's $18 even though the menu CLEARLY says $15 I was charged over and over $18 and after I pointed it out to the bartender he gave me crap and then was nasty to my the rest of my time there. So, it's lovely, but SUPER EXPENSIVE. Make sure you are prepared with bottles and food. An egg sandwich is at least $14.

The Royal West Indies Resort is the place you go to unwind and relax. The resort is clean, beautiful grounds, excellent service, and has very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant on site has excellent food and drinks. The beach is a short walk from your room and is amazing. The staff provided excellent guest service and will arrange excursions and transportation for you. They have bikes on the property that you can use. There isn’t enough I can say about this place! We fell in love with this resort and this is now our favorite resort and place to visit. This is the place to go to relax. If you are looking for partying and a lot to do, this isn’t the resort for you. There are other resorts within walking distance to go to do that type of stuff but The Royal West Indies is a calm and peaceful place which is what we like.

Beautiful resort! We were contemplating which resort between Oasis and windsong and this resort was so nice! We would highly recommend. We’re both 30 and found it very quite and relaxing. Happy hour is awesome too!

We went here for our anniversary and it was perfect! Super easy to get transportation to and from the airport. The Pelican Bay restaurant was fabulous!

This was our first time in TCI and we had such an awesome time at RWI. The grounds are well kept, clean with amazing staff at your service. The rooms are not luxury but very clean and well kept. Plenty of lounge chairs at the beautiful beach. Plenty of restaurants to dine and YES it is safe to come out of the resort and explore! Coco Bistro, Indigo, Infiniti, and Mango Reef are some of the restaurants we enjoyed. Shopping at the local village was fun!

The Royal West Indies Resort has been a perfect place to enjoy our honeymoon. It’s location to the beach is incredible, the pools and gardens are just beautiful. Every member of staff have been so friendly, welcoming and helpful and the rooms are so lovely and clean. We’d definitely come back and recommend to others.

Great location right on a beautiful central stretch of Grace Bay Beach, well maintained. The in-house restaurant and bar are quite good and our family had a lot of fun at the beach and pool. There are plenty of beach chairs available on Grace Bay Beach and we never had a problem finding free ones. They also offer snorkel rentals which we took advantage of. The reason our stay does not get a five star rating is because of the front desk staff, who were somewhat rude and unhelpful at checkin and checkout. At checkin (arriving at 11.30 am), they didn't even try to get us even one of our two rooms earlier than their checkin time of 3 pm, simply saying that checkin was 3 pm. Generally hotels will try to expedite cleaning of at least one room so you get it an hour or two earlier, but not here. There was also confusion at check-in because they had forgotten to apply our upgrade to two oceanfront (instead of oceanview) rooms that we had paid for separately. After some back and forth the clerk consulted with someone else who was able to find two connected oceanfront rooms. Throughout all this the staff seemed unconcerned, and not apologetic or friendly. Similar confusion at checkout with applying our room deposit to our in-resort tab (they charged us separately for our tab even though they had already charged a deposit), with similarly unhelpful and somewhat annoyed staff. The rest of the staff across the resort were great, but front desk interactions could be improved.

Great location and wonderful accommodations. The staff was also so nice. The units are well appointed and no matter what building you are in your a 2 minute walk from the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were a group of 14 and we could be together or not and it was wonderful.

What a gem! Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, my studio was spotless, and housekeeping anticipated anything we needed. The kitchenette was well stocked and the washed dryer in room was great. Royal West Indies' location is perfect. Towards the Leeward end of the main hub of resorts, but still a lovely walkable distance to the stores and shops or a 3 minute drive. The placement makes it superbly quiet and relaxing. 2 pools to enjoy after a day of adventures and with beautiful Grace Bay right there, everything you come to Turks and Caicos for. I know I will return.

Our first time at Turks & Caicos. We loved the Royal West Indies Resort and were so happy with our choice to stay here! All the staff were friendly, welcoming,and helpful! We enjoyed a few meals at their onsite restaurant and food at the bar. The pools were clean and inviting, the grounds were well kept & beautiful and it was a nice short walk to their private beach on Grace Bay. We always had chairs & umbrellas available and towels.we enjoyed using the complimentary bikes, and having a washer & dryer in our unit was so helpful! Absolutely no complaints only praise! We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return in the future !

A bit outdated however it was overall good stay. Staff was friendly the restaurant was pretty good tried breakfast and lunch. The beach was beautiful and quiet. No entertainment/activites at the resort however we didn't care too much about that. This resort was a good value for the price.

WE loved Royal West Indies Resort!! It is a beautiful resort! Our room was the best room in the whole resort! Ocean front! The room was clean and equipped with all what we needed. Guest services checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure all of our needs were being met. They even gave us a bottle of champagne upon our arrival when they learned it was our anniversary! This resort is towards the outside of Grace Bay which makes it not as crowded on the beach. Every morning the umbrellas and chairs are ready for guests on the beach. It's the perfect location!! Pelican Bay restaurant is fantastic and we loved that there was happy hour every day from 5-7 pm! The pools are beautiful and are enjoyable to relax at. WE Highly recommend!!! Love Love Royal West Indies Resort!!

Everyone here had a smile on and was very welcoming we loved our stay . They made it easy and we had a very enjoyable stay . We traveled with our 10 month old and they provided a crib and high chair . Very kind staff and the location is perfect right in front of the water . I would return in a heartbeat !

Loved everything about our stay. The staff at the resort were amazing- went out of their way to help and everyone was so friendly! The resort grounds are amazing and the beach is absolutely beautiful. We plan to make this an annual girls trip!

Front desk staff (her name is something like Ouillete) was extremely unkind and doesn’t know how to smile. We had friends on the property who felt the same about her. She needs people skill to work at the front desk and she clearly does not have that!

We loved everything about TWI! It was peaceful and very very beautiful. Our room 114 was very clean. It included a fridge, microwave and kitchen sink. We utilized the free bike usage to get groceries because eating out could run very expensive very quickly.

RWI was just the right vibe for my husband and me! Not a crazy party resort while we were there. It was have your cocktails and unwind and relax!!! We enjoyed meeting other guests! The room was clean and daily service was great! Free bikes with baskets to ride for light grocery shopping nearby. Pool and facilities were beautiful both the hardscape and the landscape! The only reason I did not give it a 5 overall is because the air conditioning was confusing so we were hot at times. I should have contacted maintenance but we were having the perfect vacay in Turks & Caicos and I never made the call. We definitely want to vacation again in beautiful Turks & Caicos and would book again at RWI!

Every unit has a washer/dryer in it. Had I known the convenience I could have taken way less clothes. We primarily stayed at the resort and enjoyed the food from the restaurant and happy hour daily at the bar. It is a friendly resort. Appreciated Sherman who worked up front who always provided a good laugh. Also Bert efficiently worked the bar.

If you are looking for a good value, this is a great option. The resort is on Grace Bay beach and costs significantly less than a lot of the other hotel/resorts that share the same beach. Property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The Pelican Bay restaurant was good and reasonably priced for Turks. We would definitely stay there again.

The room was very clean. The check in process was easy. The beach was beautiful. The pool area was outstanding and not too crowded. The restaurant was good with a nice happy hour. I don't know why people would stay down the beach and pay $400 more per night
