Room was very comfortable and plenty of space, front door personnel was very friendly and helpful in recommending places to go in the area. Would highly recommend.

Very charming Inn. Quiet, very comfortable, and friendly. Love the little tavern in the Inn.

I has a wonderful old-fashioned feel. I know they were aware of me but left me alone unless I asked.
I would have loved a fridge in my room!

We were genuinely surprised and impressed with our suite, the accommodations, the staff, and the history of the Inn. It instantly became one of our favorite places to stay. We’ll stay there again every time we’re in the area.

We had no heat for our stay and no coffee in the morning on either morning. There is never anyone at the desk to talk to about anything. There is a Pickleball court immediately beside the Inn so you get to listen to people play Pickleball all day and into the night. And then the town itself appears to only be open from Wed on. Also the pictures on Expedia are nothing like the rooms which are shabby at best. The worst.

Bathroom door did not close.
Noisy. Heard people in hallways .
Limited space for personal effects in bathroom.
This is a very old property that needs some updating.
Coffee was empty in the morning.

Cute place. Reservation guy was super friendly and helpful.

This place is really hard with kids. The walls are thin and every step is really creaky. Needs major updating - the bathrooms are old, there is no microwave or updated technology ie. TVs or outlets. Significantly under staffed and the manager wouldn’t even reach out to us in a pinch. If you want food that is like great value brand then order it…
The best part is the location and it’s proximity to cool shops and food. There is so much potential in its old charm, it just hasn’t been executed well.

I planned staying at the inn for 3 nights. I checked out after the second night due to hurricane lee approaching and the governor's Emergency declaration. Unfortunately, the inn would not reimburse me for my third night work.

It was good. Nice town and good accommodations. The bakery behind the Inn is a must. I would return.

Nice stay for a night. Was great that we could bring our dogs, very nice staff. But may be time to replace the bed and the very flat pillows. Was not a physically comfortable stay

The king 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family of 4, so our 16 year old could have his own room. Overall the room was clean and spacious. There were 3 TVs, one in each room, which was nice and unexpected. The staff texts before your arrival and lets you know when your room is due to be clean, we loved having that modern communication from a historic inn.
The inn was old but charming, and it was clear recent cosmetic updates were made. Overall we were happy with our stay, the room and ease of check in/check out. The tavern had delicious apps and cocktails but we rarely saw other patrons in it.
I would strongly recommend an upgrade to the matresses and pillows. The bed was extremely firm and the mattress creaked whenever you moved on it. We all found the beds difficult to sleep on. A nicer pillowtop mattress and upgraded pillows would go a long way.
There is a pickleball court right beside the inn and although the AC drowns out the noise from it, i can imagine the noise would bother me outside of summer. It was busy everyday of the week with people playing from 8am to as late as 10pm.
Ending on a positive note, having a clean suite with two bedrooms and a living area was wonderful, that was honestly difficult to find for a similar price in the area.

I came to town for a wedding, the inn was much more affordable than anything in Kennebunkport and was an easy quick drive to get to where I needed to be. They are very pet friendly, with free treats at the front desk. I'd definitely stay here again! And having a delicious bakery right behind doesn't hurt either!

We stayed at the Kennebunk Inn for two nights. The two members of your staff, Megan and Adrian, made our stay more delightful. We were sad that there was no dining room, and your tavern had very limited hours. You might want to update that you’re renovating the dining room on your website. That being said, we will definitely be back.

The air conditioner in the room was too loud and the air blew towards you while in bed. It was difficult to sleep under those conditions.

Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. As a retired person being placed on the third floor without an elevator made carrying even a small suitcase up the stairs very difficult.

Nice quiet spot. Comfortable old charming building. Would stay there again.

It is an old inn, they have tried to update it but have failed. Up to 10 mins of running the water to get hot water. Bathrooms are just one step up from a porta potty. I don't not recommend this Inn.

There are a few key factors that make this property a 2/5. Firstly, they don’t actually have a bar or restaurant. There used to be both, but they are no longer running. That was one of the amenities I looked forward to, so I was disappointed to see the restaurant and bar sat vacant. Secondly, the woman at the front desk was neither friendly nor helpful when we had questions or needed something. Lastly, the room just wasn’t great. The bed was super uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep well the entire time I was there. The sink in the bathroom was so low I had to hunch over to use it. Just not ideal.
To be honest, the only saving grace for this hotel isn’t even in the hotel itself. It’s the Boulangerie out back. There’s an amazing bakery across the parking lot that I highly recommend. I really liked rolling out of bed and grabbing breakfast there.

There was a confussion when we got there as they gave us a different room than the one on the photos. But after talking to the person in charge, we got the room.
Everything else worked great!

The staff who checked us in was very nice and helpful however the rest of the stay was very bad. I was shocked how tiny and slanted the room was, we couldn't even close the bathroom door because the room was so slanted which was very awkward. The bed was very uncomfortable, there was no heat in the room !! and there was a wind draft coming in from the windows. The floors were also extremely creaky and we were kept up all night from other guests walking around and speaking through the paper-thin walls. There is no breakfast or anything included, no mini fridge in the room and we were surprised how bad the food was at the inn restaurant (my salad was yellow and chicken was rubbery for a $20 salad) considering that it has good reviews. Overall, DO NOT stay here, they really need to do an entire renovation of the inn or drop the prices to around $40 a night because it felt like we were in a hostel or practically camping considering the no heat.

Where to start…..This is not an Inn its an Old Rooming House or a Hostle complete with all the musty and moldy smells. The room was small and dingy and totally atrocious. The bed looked like it had an egg crate for a mattress. The furniture was straight from the Salvation Army Store free isle. The closet was made with what looked like old pallets. A space heater plugged into the bathroom over the sink holding the broken door open. Hardwood floors looked grimy, stained and totally unwashed. There is no way we were going to stay the night there… and this is no exaggeration.
The only positive is the girl at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful as she could be.
The pictures they are showing on website are nothing as to what the rooms actually look like… Don’t be duped as we were.

Love it, love it, love it! Very quaint property with exciting history, clean, and well taken care of. Enjoyed every stay here.

We’ve stayed here several times in the past, while property is “quaint” & has its quirks, such as small bathrooms & space heaters rather than radiators in some rooms, we enjoy the staff, the price & the close location to our family in Kennebunk.
5.0
I have stayed here before and it’s always a pleasant experience. The location can’t be beat, as it’s in the center of town and you can walk to coffee shops or local restaurants or hop in the car for a quick drive to the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay and for letting me check in a little sooner to get ready for my holiday party.

There were several issues with our stay. They were clearly understaffed because we had some issues and went to speak to front desk and no one was there. We didn’t sleep at all the first night because our room overlooked the ice skating rink next door and although it was closed the music was blaring all night long. The next morning I went downstairs to mention this issue and the desk people knew nothing about it. I find that hard to believe. Our bathroom was horrific. The bedroom was small but somewhat acceptable the bathroom on the other hand was so old. The shower was tiny, the sink even tinier with no place to put simple things like my toothbrush and toothpaste. I could reach the sink from the toilet. There was also an inconvenient step up into the bathroom. The windows had blinds only with zero curtains for room darkening so between the light from the skating rink and the street lights and the music from the rink that was on ALL night long it was a miserable stay

The bed was excellent and the room was in the the fashion of the era that the building was constructed(1799). All the eateries are within walking distanced

Horrible customer service; Made a reservation with them A MONTH IN ADVANCE, for October 4th, realized wrong hotel (everyone else staying at Kennebunk Inn); called within a short 24 hours! to ask for cancellation and was denied by Manager Patel, as I did not pay the extra $30 for a free cancellation. This is during peak leaf season where they could have easily rebooked the room and refunded my $200.00 - Greedy people and shame on Choice Hotels.

It was a pleasant stay but the decor was very Generic. They could do a little more with decor to give it a homier inn feel. All the floors are bare wood with no rugs and very little wall decorations. Other than that it was a good stay.

House is very quaint. Room is small but was perfect for our needs and the price was amazing. Breakfast is not included here but discounts are offered to local places. We wanted to watch the Clemson game and the girl working suggested Duffy's. Duffy's was great and accommodating. Even let us stay until 1/2 after they closed. That's one thing to remember, everything closes around 9 or 10 in this area. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed out time here.

This inn was so quaint and beautiful! In amazing shape considering they have been hosting travelers since 1799! The room was very clean, but the hot water did take some time to come through. They do tell you this on a sign in the bathroom. There were restaurants within walking distance and the town was very cute and safe. We chose to stay here instead of downtown Portland and it was much quieter and only a 30 minute ride. I would recommend this place!
