The hotel was lovely and old. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with no hot water, however the management did their very best to accommodate the problem asap and apologetic.
The food in the stable restaurant was yum! Overall, a great stay.

We were less happy with the room on this occasion, dark sombre furniture, a dusty desk and no view. There was a spacious modernized bath & shower room however. There is a lift for rooms at the front and some stairs for rooms at the back so an odd mix of different levels. Splendid parkland very well maintained. We enjoyed the "Greek night" and the breakfast was equally good so happy with the food and service.

Lovely hotel , ideally situated just down the road from Beamish Museum,
Restaurant for evening meal was very nice , can recommend.
The grounds and garden are beautiful,very well maintained.
We didn’t do breakfast , we chose to do a breakfast bap in the Museum ,none of us eat much in a morning
