The staff were excellent

The friendliness of the staff made this place. It was basic and good for an overnighter but probably not a place I would anchor myself at for Newcastle.
The decor and facilities are dated.

Staff was friendly and good location for the Metro center. free car parking on site so no need to book and pay in advance.
advertised with restaurant at hotel but no food was available and hadn't been avaiable for a while. only 1 staff member to run the full hotel including the public bar. hotel cleanlness suffeering because not enough staff so downstairs toilet not clean. rooms are kind of clean but attention to detail missing . we had toe nails in the bath.
