My wife and I enjoyed this clean, friendly and safe place near everything. We had our car parked on the indenting garage and entered nice breakfast each morning —frittatas and fruit. St Armand’s Circle is only a few minutes away. We visited Ringling Museum over a quick10-minute ride North. The Indigo Hotel is really, really nice. It is close to shops, restaurants, the beach. It is clean and the staff are wonderful.

Room was spectacular. Bathroom is stupendous. Tv is huge. Bedding is heavenly. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. We’ll be back in a few months for another outing!

The air conditioning was clanking so loudly I had to order ear plugs through postmates with large feed. Even with the earplugs, my boyfriend and I could not sleep and had to have rooms moved around midnight. In the new room, it was just as loud but were so exhausted on night two we were able to sleep through it. There are also $25 fee daily for “amenities” for shuttle and parking which they do not tell you.

The hotel features recently upgraded rooms and a prime location. Downtown Sarasota-with fabulous restaurants covering any dish one may crave-is within walking distance. Readily available transportation is provided by the hotel which includes pickup!! The hotel hosts a small dining area and bar which we found to be very enjoyable. The best feature is the staff - Friendly, accommodating, ready to help and always with a smile.

The location is all is has going for it. The room smelled like rotten eggs, the pool and top floor viewing area were closed, the morning coffee was horrible, and there is no outdoor place to sit unless you walk across a busy road to get to a park.

Great hotel in walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping! The staff was accommodating and the pool at The Modern was like hanging out in an upscale Miami resort! Barry, the local shuttle driver was beyond accommodating!

This hotel is a go. Lobby & grounds were clean. My room was clean as well. Beds were comfortable so I got a good nights rest each night I stayed. Check in & out was a breeze. Room did not have a working phone or a microwave in it. There was a microwave located by the ice dispenser machine, which I thought was odd. Not sure if other rooms had microwaves in them or no or if the one I seen by the ice machine was for the entire 2nd floor. I didn't inquire since I didn't need it. I did inform the young lady that worked the front desk about the phone not working and she offered to ger maintenance to take a look at it but I was on my way out for the day so I told her that it wasn't necessary. I hate I forgot her name but she was very polite, informative, and helpful. She also made the best balanced lemon/cucmber water that was very refreshing for that FL heat. I'm from Alabama where summer heat & humidity is the norm so lemon/cucumber water will definitely be my go to for the rest of the summer. So shout out to her & thanks agian for your hospitality. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. If you stay here you'll be pleased but do inquire about a microwave in your room if you need one. It didn't top the Hotel Indigo where I'm from so I would have to give it an 8 out of 10. "ROLL TIDE"

My husband and I were in Sarasota to photograph a sunset proposal at The Bay. When we checked in, I was asked for a card to keep on file. I specifically asked if anything would be charged to the card. I was told the ONLY thing charged would be if we purchased something and wanted to charge it to our room. That night, there was a $25 charge. Sunday morning, there was an additional $3.25 charge. I went to the desk and was then told there is a $25 + tax per night charge. If I had been given the correct information in the beginning, I would have added a different card. We were told this fee covered beach chairs, beach towels, bottled water every day, use of the bicycles, etc. We received none of that. When getting into the room, I noticed a cigarette burn in the sofa cushion. There was garbage on the floor next to the bed. The ceiling in the bathroom was cracking/peeling above the door and shower head. The water in the shower was lukewarm, at best. The cold water coming out of the sink faucet was warmer. The bed was harder than a rock. The sofa and chair were harder than that. On the positive - the place was fairly clean. We appreciated the underground parking garage - especially in the downpour. The staff were very friendly. We heard they are going to be renovating. I would give it a second chance after the renovations. Hopefully they will invest in more comfortable mattresses.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, parking was easy, checking in smooth and all staff we spoke to were very friendly. Our room was modern, clean and spacious. The location is excellent, it is walking distance to the main shopping and dining area and also walking distance to the marina. Lovely hotel, would recommend.

Parking not included. Breakfast horribly expensive for super small portions - not mentioning when “fresh” cut fruits might have been waiting in the fridge already in the open for a couple of days. Super disappointing hotel for the price paid per night
