Stayed here a few nights after arriving from the US before moving on to other areas in the Lakes. Excellent location in the heart of Kendal convenient to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed a nice hike right from our door along the river and up to the castle.

The staff, spa, restaurant were all welcoming and well appointed. Location was convenient. Our room could have used some updating. Clean, but mattress sagged, chair cushions thin.

Beautiful hotel with lovely views of the river. Staff were helpful and really friendly. The restaurant was lovely. Right in the centre of town and near the train station. Would definitely stay again.
