This is an absolutely beautiful property spanning about 25 acers. The rooms were in duplex structures nestled into the thick vegetation. There are a lot of natural areas and you generally cannot see other structures from your room. Many types of birds and lots of bird sounds. Very relaxing. Some of the rooms have a direct view of the Arenal volcano. The in room coffee (Rey Café) was undrinkable. The coffee at breakfast was fair but a big disappointment for Costa Rica. Breakfast buffet was good but no bacon.

Great place! Has one hot pool and one cold pool. Both large. Also has one small adult only hot pool and hot tubs. Bar staff were excellent! Breakfast was great. Room was clean, comfortable and perfect. Wildlife galore. My husband loved the rain shower, me not so much, as I am just not a fan of rain showers. Service was phenomenal.

This hotel was beautifully landscaped, with perfect views of La Fortuna. The wildlife, flora, and fauna were second to none. Definitely get a maasage by the river. Amazing! The buffet breakfast was wonderful.
My only recommendation is that if you want a hot springs experience, consider booking a day pass at Eco Termales or Tabacon. I asked the hotel about this before my arrival and they said they had their own hot springs, but they were just average.

Good hotel but can be better, rooms are clean and big but furniture and bathroom a little but dated. The area outside is beautiful with lush vegetation and beautiful volcano views. Pool is nice. Breakfast has a good buffet selection but the negative thing was the fact that it closes at 9h30 am ! So if u want up a little late or go on a early morning birding tour that finishes at 9 you will miss the breakfast, they should make it till 10h30 minimum like it is usually in 4 stars hotels. Other thing that i had issue with was the fact that they ask u to write ur credit card info on a paper at check in to charge the things u consume during ur stay, which i don’t like to do so i told them i will pay at check out with my card and give my room number so you add it to my bill at check out, BUT when i did that at the pool for drinks, i gave my room number and when i finished and left the waiter followed me and called me back to pay immediately and when i told him my card in the room and u can add it to the bill and will pay at the check out he called the reception desk and they asked me to pay immediately and they called me again to the room to check if i arrived there to change and bring my card and go pay… although i explained to them that i will pay all at check out , they wanted me to write my card number or carry my credit card to the pool and pay immediately… which i found weird.1st night we woke up from noise on the roof(it was tree branches)they apologized and send us wine.

Lovely setting next to the river but our room had poor soundproofing (could hear neighbours using the washroom), thermal pools were not overly clean and the “mandatory” New Year’s dinner was grossly overpriced for what we received. Would not recommend for couples as the resort is far more family friendly than anticipated (children in all pools, even adults only and at the swim-up bar). Overall an average experience and I would not book this resort again.

We stayed at Arenal Manoa for 2 nights. Friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Maria always checked with us in our language. The room was beautiful as well as the grounds. Great thermal pool with a bar. Very good buffet breakfast. As a VIP member, we received welcome drinks and snacks. We loved our stay!

I really liked the hotel. The personnel at the front desk were always helpful and friendly. I liked the view from the Arenal Volcano from the restaurant, that you can always request a golf cart to be picked to different places in the hotel, the breakfast was so good. Finally, the best part was the hot pool. Price of food was a little expensive BUT this was the norm everywhere. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

Hot Springs pools werent ready till noon! They fill them every morning, instead of overnight. Front desk said they open at 10, but pool is half empty, and no service at pool bar till noon. What a waste. 2nd hot spring was out of service:-(. The staff were super friendly, especially Allison, Alexa, Dilan and Yorle. But sadly the food was mediocre at best. If you don’t have a car to go leave the resort to eat nearby, where there was plenty of great food, you’ll likely be disappointed

We ended up at this hotel because our airbnb had been broken into and robbed. José at the front desk was very supportive and helpful, assisting us in getting in contact with local authorities and acting as translator as needed. We felt very safe here which was so important after what we had been through. The room and the grounds were beautiful and breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Would absolutely stay here again.

This place is amazing! You can see Arenal volcano from the whole property. The swim up bars are so cool! They have a great happy hour for each bar and they don't overlap so you can hit both! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff makes these adorable little animals out of your fresh towels which we loved (they had a different animal every day!) The rooms are really cool and comfortable. The property is will landscaped and this encourages wildlife to hang out. We saw toucans and numerous other beautiful birds while eating breakfast every day. I highly suggest the breakfast, some of the best gallo pinto we had in Costa Rica and many other options if that's not your jam! We got massages at the spa and it was incredibly relaxing. This is a place we will plan on going to again and heartily recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in the La Fortuna area.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with the staff and location. Every aspect of our stay was perfect! The location was convenient, the staff were all very professional and extremely friendly, the facilities were very clean and neat, our room was comfortable and perfect in every way. This location had everything you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, from the beautiful pools and thermals, to the spa, beautiful grounds to walk, the swim up bars, private adult hot tub, etc. We will definitely be returning to Arenal Manoa in the near future!!

The place is very nice, the staff is amazing, the views breath taking, the breakfast fantastic as well, the only reason we can't give the maximum rate is because the bed mattress really needs and upgrade. The rest was fantastic.

The hotel surrounding is beautiful, services is superb. As VIP, we received welcome fruits and spa credit! Communication was easy via what’s app. Only thing is there is only one pool and one restaurant. But overall a very pleasant experience! Breakfast is included and the view from the breakfast place is stunning- facing the volcano!

Our stay was OK. For some people it might be great: party by night, then sleeping in the morning. Great pool for kids… which made it not so great for relaxing couple time!… We were hoping there would be more Hot Spring pools, small ones, where couples could get away and have some time, then come back and join the party, the noise, the TVs. however, there was only the one hot pool with the sushi bar, and one other Hot Springs pool,(they said two but I think one was closed??) in which you could also hear lots of noise. So if that’s what you’re looking for, the place is great. But if you want a relaxing, peaceful time, especially as a couple, this probably is not it. At least not in August. Breakfast buffet was awesome. It was clean and we were very grateful for that.

The property is beautiful and clean. Clear view of the volcano when the clouds are not so foggy. The room was decorated with prearranged birthday decor for my husband. The staff was excellent, during breakfast and all throughout my stay. The front desk overly communicated everything and ensured my stay was comfortable. We booked our excursions with the hotel very affordable. I want to thank everyone who works for this property, everyone was as sweet as pie and helpful. The pool and scenery are amazing. I will be booking again.

Wonderful stay. Love the personal touches with notes in the room. Wine when we arrived and little gift when we left. Breakfast buffet was legit. Had everything, delicious warm and fresh food - not just a silly continental like most places. Well worth every penny.

The property was beautiful. The hot springs were amazing. The poolside service was low. The remote location of the property leads to long quiet evenings and if you like that then it's great.
