Place has seen better days, a little run down but they’re also in the middle of major renovations. You’re right off the 99, there is a huge grocery store within minutes walk of the place, coffee, fast food, not so fast food all within walking distance.

Staff was nice but hotel needs updating

When you reserve the cheapest room in Bakersfield, you have to match your expectation. I’m not complaining at all because I got exactly what I paid for. Cons: there’s about an inch gap under some of the front doors (I would barricade if you don’t want bugs coming in.) Sheets were washed, wouldn’t say clean looking. Floors were not swept and our bathroom window didn’t shut all the way. Also the bathroom door hits the toilet so you have to snake around it. You can hear everyone that walks by throughout the night as if they’re in your room. Door didn’t always open properly when using key card. Pros: the parking is all gated with a code, so you can feel fairly good about leaving your car parked overnight. The beds were not uncomfortable at all and the pillows are nice and flat so they don’t hurt your neck. If you just need a place to sleep, charge your phone overnight and maybe take a shower, don’t mind run down rooms. It’s not terrible. Although some have said there’s cockroaches? Apparently they’re common in Bakersfield and yeah, if there’s a gap under the door and windows that won’t shut I would imagine they come in time to time. It’s not like an infestation or anything I’m aware of. It’s trashy but sufficient. No complaints for 55 a night (I had double full size beds)

The staff was very nice. HOWEVER, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance in this place is shocking. My room had cockroaches, the heater was BROKEN (temperature dropped to the lower 50s, I was freezing), hairdryer was unusable because it looked like someone had wiped their ass with it, the shower liner looked like it had been run over by a train, my neighbors were super creepy and I could hear every dirty deed they were involved in due to the paper thin walls, I also barely slept! Several car chases and arguments filled the air…I wouldn’t stay here ever again…and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anybody else stay here unless it’s your absolute last option.

Bathroom dirty high window knocked out, bath door opened to hit toilet, new toilet seat wrong size. Beds ok, not good, cover stained. Side chairs dirty cushions, small. Walls patched, not repainted.

It's cheap. Various surfaces were dirty in the room when we arrived (slimy ring on bedside table, sticky spots). Not enough towels or blankets. Tv remote was a random generic remote, which is funny but not a problem. Other than it being dirty, it's fine for the price. Need to clean rooms better. If you can afford it, I'd go somewhere else.

Won’t be back unless upgrading and remodeling is complete

The staff are very welcoming and make you feel like family. Very quick to fix any problems. Love the Bakersfield inn!!!

it was horrible there were a lot of roaches and filth in the room they had holes in the walls doors that didn't latch and it was just a horrible experience

We found a lot of bugs in the room. There is not a place to hang up our clothes. You have to pay for ice. We also think the a/c unit is leaking as there is water in places on the floor. They're going to have to replace the floor soon, I think. Pretty sure we won't use the shower given the condition of it. We would not stay here again.

Room smells bathtub is disgusting so Is the toilet they have roaches and dead flies ceiling has yellow stains pillows and towels are dirty just don’t stay there

For the price the room was great it was very large and spacious. There were a little issues with bugs, though there was construction going on which is fine but at night it’s a pretty lively area a lot of partying and people walking around and being loud.

I stay due to necessity and budget.the owners are really trying to restore the place. It actually is unders rework now. But, there's still lots of smoking and transit individuals walking around. The rooms need work most important with roach treatment. On occasions they forget to the the house keeping. Watch out for the restrooms.

Gated property. Had difficulty with the code getting onto the site. No water in the room through any taps! This was rectified quite quickly to be fair. Room very basic but adequate.

This location had so many cockroaches and other bugs that it was disgusting to sleep in

This place is horrible, I had booked it for 3 nights and I had to leave after 2 hours. It is full of cockroaches, bedbugs and very dirty. They did not return any of my money. Very bad service.

It's good!

Cockroaches galore in room. housekeeping never went to room one time. Its also gated which is good but they changed code to enter every day one day twice.
