Staff were friendly, and the location just off the motorway was good. There are plenty of food options nearby in addition to the hotel's own bar/restaurant. Parking was plentiful. The room was functional and was good value if you treated it for what it is - an 'en route' stopover.
The room had a terrible smell of smoke, but it's something all too common at this end of the market. In fairness to the hotel, we didn't ask to move, so I can't say if we'd have been able to find a room that wasn't as affected.
