St Pere is in a beautiful area of France, with Vezelay close by and the Morvan National Park to the south.
The owners are very friendly, helpful and speak good English - which was most useful for us.

Very cute, comfratable, large room, good water pressure/temperature, the shower-tub combo was perfect. I would stay here again.
However, the check in isn't right on Hotels.com. It says that you have to contact the property for check in instructions and lists a phone number. It took us multiple attempts to reach the hotel, and when we did get through they said they didn't speak English and hung up (the listing says they speak English and French). When we got there, the gate is closed and says to check in across the street at the bar. It was very easy to park and get checked in (we were inside the check in window 4pm-8:30pm) so don't stress, like we did, if you cannot call ahead.
