Quirky, Quaint old hotel in Avallon. Beers with free snacks. Great service and food in the hotel restaurant. Secure parking for motorbikes.
90€ room was small....cramped really. In need of updating. I dont think it was worth 90€ for a night. We didnt stay for breakfast.

A friendly atmosphere. Had a restaurant which served a good range of dishes including vegetarian options. There was safe secure parking and a garden to sit in.

Lovely "French" feel. Great location close to Avallon centre. Room was nice and clean and bathroom similar. The welcome from our hostess was super - so riendly and French.! Parking for our motorcycle in the garage too was free.
Ok.. This is the bad part. Firstly, the breakfast for 13 Euros is a little over priced. It was ok, but the chap that was running it was rude, dismissive and needs to go on a customer services course. He then proceeded to be rude again - insisting the garage door was unlocked (it wasnt) and muttered under his breath when he realised he was incorrect. He then muttered some more when he had to go and get the key... I dont know how he is connected to the hotel (owner maybe?) ...But, he really put our backs up with his rudeness and dismissive attitude.
I have given the hotel 6/10 purely because our initial impression was good and the lady we spoke to at first was lovely. If you can avoid the "Grumpy One" the hotel is very nice indeed
Just avoid breakfast as it's a bit chaotic and overpriced.
