What a lovely visit! Beautiful, great service, "quiet" (waterfall is loud butvthats awesome), quirky, and we loved it!
The proberty has some ongoing projects so be prepared to go over the gravel pile and past construction, but beyond all that is magical.
The mountain and the driveway are hard going, but that's the case in Jamaica overall, and this is no exception. Have 4 wheel drive and drive carefully, and it's all cool.

Quiet, secluded location, beautiful surroundings, terrific food, thoughtful staff and clean facilities. The facility is being built a section at a time and has a homey, handmade feel. Rooms are named, not numbered, and are themed (the Africa Room, the M.C. Escher Room, etc.) Rooms are spacious, comfortable and imaginatively decorated. Facilities include a spacious lounge, generous outdoor seating and a full self-service bar. The property includes several footpaths, including one to a waterfall. Highly recommended. The only challenge is getting there!

The property is down a steep nearly inaccessible road right off the road entering Red Light. You need 4 wheel drive. The two guys who were here were friendly enough but overly low key. I live in JA and know the slowness of things but nothing was ready for us—no towels, no soap, after booking I was told our two bedroom room only had one bed and they could provide an air mattress. Ok but give me a discount or change the room. We waited an hour past the time we wanted dinner and there was only a small assortment of snacks —no fruit nothing. The place seems surprised to have guests. The small spring fed pool with a lovely small waterfalll, the surrounding hills and lovely flora and birds are what make this place special. The restaurant and bar are rustic and charming. It just seems that having guests is a second thought.

We never arrived because it's off a horrible dirt road with latge pot holes and large rocks our car got stuck the tires kept spinning in the dirt and going no where
You need a 4x4 vehicle to navigate that horrible unmantained dirt road
Location is on a hill far away of St Andrew city area. Not close to anything that is mentioned on Expedia
When we called Raf Jam to inform them that Expedia did not say anything about a dirt road or need for a 4x4 or tall vehicle get to Raf Jam and cancel reservations because out car got stuck. She was rude non shalant to call Expedia not her.
When I tried calling Expedia customer Service listed I got recording in Jamaican saying call was a long distance.
I would like a refund if possible.
Very upsetting and poor experience
Reason why I waited a few days before submitting this review.
I am also requesting for Expedia Customer service to contact me.

Bad experience with susan, the owner...weird person, not doing what she said. we had to sleep in a bizar "king size" bed (two single beds with a big matelas on, hole in the middle!) with my husband and son! When i ask for an extra bed she just hin-hin me...
When we check-in William said us breakfast included and when we chek out susan ask us to pay for breakfast ! In jamaica this is called hustling...bad
I m very disapointed of this expérience, i came in rafjam 4 years ago and spend a great time in this amazing place but i wont come back again because of susan's attitude.

Es ist wirklich ein schönes Fleckchen Erde. Es ist etwas schwierig zu finden , weil es schlecht beschildert ist. Mit einem tollen kleinen privaten Wasserfall. Einfach prima.

Beautiful place in the Mountains. Very nice host.

The property is rustic and very clean! Our stay was very tranquil and peaceful. It was a pleasure falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the nearby river. The overall surrounding is very pleasing to the eyes with vegetation and nature all around. Breakfast was good and special mention must be made of perhaps the best lemonade we have had in along while!

The staff and owner Susan go above and beyond to help you out with whatever you need. Really nice people.
Nice rooms too with everything you need. The food was very delicious, you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner there.
The only negative things are the road that leads up to the hotel is very, very bad. Also the shower isn't great, it's a trickle. We stayed for 3 nights but 2 is probably enough because there's not that much to do around the area and the wifi is very flaky so not ideal if you want to have a quiet spot to work online from.
Other than that, great place.

The property was beautifully located in the mountains right next to a running stream. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The only negative about the property which is no fault of the facility is the road that leads there is not in a good state. Thankfully, the woman who runs RafJam is the best driver on the mountain and drove out with us to guide us and make sure we got back on the main road safely.

The whole stay was great! The property is very scenic with a river pool, waterfall and walking distance to other water bodies. There are a lot of fruit trees and the customer service was great! The owner is very flexible and will alter to food choices to your meal restrictions. Would definitely go back

Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff (especially the owner, Susan.) Made you feel welcome and at home. Food was ok but prices were a bit high.

I booked the the wrong date in error and immediately tried to contact the hotel to amend the date but no one answered despite hrs of calling. I called Expedia to resolve but they were unable to make contact with the hotel as well. It was my understanding that the Expedia would extend a credit of 78 dollars but only did $16.00. I have never received a call or email from the property and so I cannot recommend it to anyone. I am not even sure the property truly exists.

Liked the setting...rustic. Didn't like that the cell service and wifi were so poor. To be expected though based on the location.

The best place ever they welcome you like you are their family!!!!! Very special people! Thank you for taking good care of our family!!!

No easy access with a regular car, long unpaved (rocky) road in the middle of the mountains. Friendly staff and beautiful nature

The view from the room was better than the cleanliness and staff who never answered the phone or who did not routinely cooked for you in addition to no hot water or temperature control in the rooms considering you are on top of a mountain The worst part of all was the raggedy road that wound up to the bed and breakfast that could damage the cars undercarriage

Nice relaxing hotel in the mountains.

First understand this. Rafjam Bed & Breakfast consists of two separate locations. Firstly, there is the retreat up in the Hills near Irish Town. We quickly named this our "Garden of Eden!" If you are looking for total peace and tranquility, look no further.
Then there is their location down in the city, in an area called New Kingston. This location would more suite someone who wanted to explore the city of Kingston, for example. Whether up in the hills,or down in the city, the staff are patient, friendly and knowledgeable. At your request, they can put bespoke excursion packages together. The Rafjam team put one together for us. We traveled up into the Parish of Portland, through the town of Port Antonio. We went sailing on the Blue Lagoon and swimming at Frenchmans Cove. To the west of Port Antonio is the legendary Rio Grande river, where we went rafting! That particular day was a holiday in itself !

Nice hotel but over charge for overall. for what you pay, the breakfast can be better (only coffee, bread, juice, and fruit are included if you want eggs and bacon or something else you have to pay), the restaurant can be much better too, but you have across the street "the best in the west" is excellent and the restaurant at cocolapalm is good too if you don't want walk too fare.
The room are very nice, and the bed are very clean and confortable, but internet is very slow, you will not be able to watch videos, download app,... but you can download a page and read.

Non WiFi during my entire stay (my biggest disapppointment). Rooms are exorbitantly highly priced as compared to the service provided. Last stretch of the road to the place very bumpy and therefore not all cab drivers will drop you off. You will have to walk for good 15 minutes off road to reach there. Good breakfast and other meals prepared by Samantha.

The road from the main road to the B and B had washed away yet the hotel signs pointed us to continue driving; unaware, we had a nightmare ride that nearly destroyed our car. The room we reserved had no water and the room we then stayed in had only cold water. The location is magnificent but until there is a road no one should try to approach this hotel. In addition the hotel presents itself as more comfortable than it is. The accommodations are quite bare at best. There was no management staff present but the young people onsite were friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. When we tried to get a refund the hotel totally denied us any compensation.

Absolutely beautiful, secluded setting tucked away in the Blue Mountains. Awesome staff.

Very homey atmosphere, secluded and in the middle of nature; warm days and cool nights; great staff and interesting guests to chat with. Accommodations a little rustic but reasonable; only an hour from the big city but a world away.

A quirky and enjoyable experience in a beautiful location. Our experience was further enhanced by the warm, friendly and helpful nature of the staff.

RafJam was awesome! The food was great, all natural, fresh, made to order. Relaxing atmosphere and I mean stress free! No problems or issues with anything. Breath-taking views, beautiful tours, excellent staff that was very helpful, down to earth, family-oriented people. I had such a great experience I didn't want to come back to America at all! Yes, it was that great! Lol! I loved it in the Blue Mountains and will come again, no doubt about it. Also take the transportation offered by the hotel because it will save you money. I made the mistake and took a taxi. It costs me over $100 to get to the hotel, so take the hotel shuttle offered.
