We had a lovely stay here. Modern apart hotel. Neighbourhood is ok, smells lovely when the many flower shops are open. Check in quick and efficient. We were on the Penthouse floor. Sounds posh but really isn’t. Kitchen with breakfast bar and lounge with a separate double room and large bathroom with small bath. The plug would not work in both the bath and bathroom sink. Reception sorted a rubber bung to be sent up to us which worked a treat. Went for the hotel free breakfast a couple of times. Pretty basic but perfectly adequate. As this is an aparthotel there are few communal areas in which to relax. If though like us you really just need a comfy, clean bed for the night then this place is ideal.

We were given coffee in the room but no coffee cups to drink it in. Otherwise, the stay was perfect.

Big, clean, comfortable rooms in a wonderful location.

Great location and got upgraded but glad we did to the 14th floor. Be aware that noise can be an issue so the higher up you are the better.

First visit and would certainly stay again! Close to a lot of needs in the city. Staff was able to accommodate an early afternoon Checkin when plans changed. Observation patio is a must see. Rooms were clean (can be drafty on cold nights (too be expected!!! but there’s a spare blanket!

Great hotel! Superb location - could walk (or take the subway) to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful, the room was wonderful - modern and clean. And surprisingly quiet at night - even on the 7th floor. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel has great views! We could see the Empire State Building, Summit, World Trade Center, & Chrysler Building all from our room!! Breakfast was great and the employees were quite friendly. Nothing more you could ask for from a hotel in NYC. We were also very close to Korea Town, which is great for food, desserts, and night life!!!

Breakfast was crazy good and the breakfast lady was absolutely lovely! The lights in the room were weird, one switch cut power to the bedroom area and the bathroom lights were hard to figure out. The toilet seat on one side was broken but the location was perfect and the staff were nice.

Super convenient to Penn Station with excellent views and surprisingly quiet rooms. We barely heard the traffic outside.

Okay hotel but quite average

Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Great views of the city!

The staff never gave a warm greeting. There is a strange smell in the room, coffee stains in the water glasses, and the towels smell. The refrigerator doesn't cool very well.

It was overall a good stay! The shower was leaky tho and if u need soap the bottles were empty like display only lol thankfully I pack my own!

It was a very good stay.
Small but clean rooms. Really nice staff, rooftop with a wonderful view and no resort fees.
Breakfast has the basics, without much diversity. The breakfast room is small so go early.
At checkout there was an unusual charge on my credit card, I emailed them and they told me it was an error and that they would refund me in 10 to 15 days. I'm still waiting to see as it's only been 7 days (that’s why I don’t give a higher rating).
Ask for higher floor, the noise of the street can be annoying.

Front desk was amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious, love the city views.

Perfect location, close to subways and we had a great city view. Room was clean and modern and felt roomy for NY. Staff was friendly, bed was very comfy, loved the microwave and fridge for our leftovers, and it was quiet. We enjoyed the gym which had a gorgeous view. Price was very good too. There are two hyatts so we had to make sure we saved our location in our maps so we didn’t accidentally go to the wrong one. Will be back next time!

We took the train in from Newark Int airport to Penn Station and HH was about a 10 minute easy walk, with carry on luggage, from there. Perfect!
Lobby is small but check in friendly and efficient. Only 2 elevators but they are fast. (Don't forget to tap your key card before choosing floors.)
Room is on small size but very efficient. Bathroom and shower is great. Only 6 rooms per floor. We found it very quiet. Bed is very comfortable.
Breakfast is a nice feature...staff super friendly...gets you ready for the day.
Security is present in lobby.
From here we walked mainly everywhere. We did take subway at times and it is a block away...super convenient.
Overall, if you are using Penn Station to get in or out of the city I highly reccommend this hotel.

Hyatt House was a nice hotel for a quick weekend get away. Didn't spend too much time in the hotel, but gym was had good basics, breakfast was a nice perk and quiet for sleeping at night.

The staff is very kind and the rooms are little small but clean and comfortable.

The staff is friend helpful and informative. The property it self is pretty small but that’s normal for New York hotels. The rooms are tiny and it’s pretty cold near the windows no matter how high you set the heat but it’s a good stay close to lots of things.

Very friendly staff! Clean room- we enjoyed an easy quick breakfast

Handy location & great view of the Empire State Building. The rooftop view was fantastic!

Hotel was in a great area, easy travel to most of the popular areas, staff very helpful, good complementary breakfast

The hotel was OK. Needs some attention. The heater/fan in the bathroom didn’t work. We never figured out what some plugs did. Nothing changed when we used them. There was a microwave which was nice even tho we didn’t use it. Mini fridge, didn’t use either. Coffee maker/no creamer. Location was OK. The staff was fabulous. Friendly and oh so helpful and accommodating.

Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the Empire. Breakfast in the morning was great. Location was nicely tucked between subway stations which made it really easy to get up/downtown.

Good location

There is no rooftop bar. Pictures are deceiving. There is an area to sit outside with tables on the 34th floor I think. You can have drinks sent up. Great view. Rooms are nice and comfy a bit cramped though. Great area...

Elevators weren’t working, could get to breakfast through no fault of our own

Vincent at the reservation desk was awesome. He made the process easy and inviting. The room was comfortable and I liked the idea of just a few rooms on each floor. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Happy with our stay but wished we requested a room on a higher level. Not the best view of the city from the 6th floor.

Room was amazingly quiet! Loved that the window opened for a little fresh air. Staff so friendly and helpful. Convenient location for our stay. Breakfast was great, looking forward to having their restaurant open again as that was the only thing missing.

Breakfast time could be a little longer

Great location, room was nicely cleaned. Breakfast is really terrible, you should find every single day eggs, a sausage or bacon, bread and that's it. Staff was great all the time.

The staff was the best. Everyone who worked there was great. The room was clean, quiet, small (but aren't they all in NYC) and had a nice refrigerator and microwave. Everything looked new, but at the same time, it all could have used a little maintenance. Tightening up the vanity faucet and shower handles. But that's minor. We'd definitely stay there again. Great location and easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Very accommodating!

The A/C stopped working two of the nights and it was super hot. The front desk helped one of the nights but the other night they just said “the technician left and we can’t do anything” it was 9pm. Food is good people in the breakfast area is quite nice. Rooftop is great!

Had a corner suite with incredible views. Location convenient to everything including subway stops. Rooftop deck looked out over Empire State Building. Had little kitchenette with all amenities- fridge, stove top, micro and dishwasher. Beds comfy and room quiet.

No complaints, room was clean, service was good, breakfast was good, and the view was amazing.

The front desk was excellent. Very gracious, professional, courteous. Elevator issues taught us how to be patient, that's for sure.
3.0
Rooms were pretty good but there are only two elevators servicing the entire building, including staff. Wait times for elevators were pretty frustrating and seemed to favor the higher floors. This was a personal trip so we could tolerate that to an extent, but would not stay here for a work trip due to the lack of elevator capacity.
