Very accommodating. Upgraded our room for free. Responded quickly. A safe place to stay. Very beautiful grounds. Dog bags for puppy. Very quiet and peaceful. Balcony connected to room, nice touch. Lots of windows. Free hulu. Room contained all kitchen amenities: big fridge, microwave, electric stove, sink. Very nice people.
Food & drinksThey suggested local places to eat! Very highly rated places, we stopped at one called The Pantry.

This motel is a huge old beautiful building on the side of a hill. The rooms i stayed in have been updated, very nice. One room had a jacuzzi tub, which was a pleasant surprise. The maintenance man on site was very nice and welcoming. The price of my stay was reasonable. I recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away from the city. (If you're able to handle the altitude.)

The room was on the 3rd floor. No elevator. The room was tiny with an extremely uncomfortable king sized platform bed. I can't tell you how many times we caught our little toes on a protruding corner of that dang bed frame. The snow was poorly cleared and a lot of the parking area/unloading area is dirt, so our shoes, luggage, and vehicle were covered in mud. The inside of the fridge was so dirty I wouldn't even put water bottles in there. The floors squeak something awful. I felt sorry for whoever was below us. Definitely would not stay there again.

Very easy checkin and wonderfully accommodating ! Last minute accidental booking (wrong hotel) Worried when pulled up. Exterior was rough but room was very good, bed very comfortable and room was clean w/ warm fireplace heater and super cozy. Jacuzzi tub worked awesome , lots of hot water! Whoever worked late on 2/23 was amazing and very much appreciated ( forgot to get his name!). Scruffy and His owner Rick deserve a raise ! What a kind hardworking man . He has continental breakfast set up w waters and coffee. Plus doing remodeling I think overpriced but would consider staying if in the area again. Overall really nice stay.

Nice place nestled in the mountains. Had a porch to sit out on and enjoy the scenery.
Stayed in a room with a jacuzzi, was nice!

Clean, quiet, and the Jacuzzi tub is fantastic!

Cute place, great location and quiet.
Unfortunately the bedding wasn’t clean and I made the staff aware afterwards however they did not respond with any kind of feedback or apology. Would stay here again but would request fresh bedding to be left in the room.

We were given a room and about 11:30 while I was asleep and my husband was watching TV a guy walked into our room and said he was given that room and was in their earlier. He left and let us keep the room but we had a hard time sleeping worried that someone was going to walk into our room. Unacceptable. We should get our money back. Won't stay there anymore.

The customer service and responsiveness was wonderful. I thought I might have to cancel and they were willing to work with me. Upgraded for free to a beautiful room. Also offered an early check in and a late check out. Snacks and breakfast treats in the am. Clean and spacious. Loved the surrounding area and breakfast at the nearby pantry was delicious.

This lodge in the Pike’s Peak wilderness in Colorado has great rural outdoor appeal—spectacular scenery, walking distance to great local breakfast & dinner, a comfy king size bed, kitchenette, & hot tub to ease an achy body after outdoor workouts. Great place!

Very clean and comfortable. Loved the bed. And there is a great tavern with great food 8 min walk down a trail with a creek that goes to a beautiful park with a pond. Views were wonderful. Great weekend get away.

I felt safe, property was very clean and tidy.
Check in by code sent via internet was easy, but I am old fashioned and would have loved to have seen a real human.

Overall nice place, has a cabin in the woods appeal to it, but a few drawbacks. Access is not easy, especially if you are limited in mobility. In order to unload anything substantial, you must drive up a very rough dirt road behind the building and park on the road, and there's still a flight of steps if you're on top floor. Otherwise its all steps from front parking lot. The listing showed a 2-person hot tub, however if you open and read into the details, it's actually just a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Nice but not what we expected (and our fault for not reading deeper before we booked). Coffee pot wasn't cleaned out and hair dryer was in the sink when we arrived. Otherwise, clean, very comfortable bed and nice porch views.

The place is clean. It is what is advertised as and nothing more. We needed a place to sleep for one night and this place worked out great! Walking distance to most everything GMF has to offer.

I did a little mini trip to relax and reset for the new year, and this was just the place. The room was cute. King bed, kitchenette, and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The set up and scenery is just what this Kansas girl needed for a getaway.

The room was nothing like the picture and the bedding was not fresh, this place was nothing like the picture the parking was a joke and definitely will not recommend had to haul luggage up 3 flights of stairs. walls were so thin could here both sides of guests

My stay was ok. the location was nice but the room was not very clean.

Nice quiet location. No TV remote and microwave was dirty inside and out

New remodel work was done terribly. Exposed sharp points on tile, missing trim and the hot tub doesn’t work.

Very disappointed! We were contacted prior to our stay offering us an upgrade for $100 to a whirlpool suite. They said, this is their most popular room and we wouldn't be disappointed. We said, sure! NOT worth it! We were very disappointed! First, the room smelled like smoke. We contacted them and they came and ionized the room. That seemed to help for the short term, but...it was back. We could understand that. I mean you have no control if a guest smokes in your rooms, but it would have been nice if it was mentioned.
Also, the whirlpool didn't work neither did the blow dryer. We texted but no reply on this. Afterword through an email it was suggested that it was the GFI. It was not. We tried that!
The bathroom was really kind of "junky". The whirlpool had tape patches on the cracks and the wall had holes from where a towel bar once was. And, our towels had holes in them. Again, we were really disappointed. I have never left a bad review in my life until this one.
One positive, the bed was very comfortable. The place just really needs some TLC!!
Of note, the restaurant near there, The Pantry was amazing!! And the Blue Moose was a great place for drinks and dinner. The food and staff at both these places helped make up for our terrible room.

Beautiful views ! Could hear the people in next room just talking so the walls are thin. It's a old building, so I'm sure that's why. We had a room with a hot tub like bathtub which you had to climb in to use the shower. Not my favorite situation. The wooden stairs could use some maintenance as some were wobbly.

Its a nice place, the walls are a little thin and the floor creaks a lot so hopefully you are not a light sleeper. I would recommend bringing something for white noise. Beautiful views from the 3rd floor. Overall great place for a good price.

Very nice room with kitchen and everything needed to cook, mini fridge microwave, cooktop pots/pans & utensils. Housekeeping checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The little town was nice, we walked down there every day with the dog, deer come down at dusk.
Great views and close to town and trails. We will be back!!

Check-in instructions were not clear. The area was nice and scenic but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and cratered in the center. The sheets also had hair covering them so idk how clean they were. Lots of stairs if you get a king room cuz they are on the 3rd floor. I wanted to like this place as we stayed here for my boyfriends bday but overall it was kinda disappointing for the cost of the king room.
