About this condo rental

Situated in Paradise Valley, this attractive condo for $86 per night is a great choice for your next break. Summary: Metro Scottsdale Apartments - we offer 1 and 2bd apartments converted from a former Hilton Homewood Suites. These are interior corridor units and there is a possibility of noise, food and other odors and everything that comes with apartment living:) We have a touchless automated check in process and you will receive all details upon booking. The Space: All of our 1bd units are interior corridor meaning they are in a building with a coded secure entrance. Although rare, this also means there may be noise from neighbors, doors shutting, or upstairs noise. Although we are a strictly non smoking property, you may also smell marijuana or cigarette smoke if a guest is breaking the rules (this is a problem statewide after marijuana legalization). You may hear a fire alarm if one unit is triggered (commercial safety code). We strictly enforce a site wide non smoking policy but there have been guests that break those rules in the past. If you are highly sensitive to the remote possibility of smelling smoke, then this may not be the rental for you. We want to be 100% upfront and avoid missed expectations. We promise to do everything we can to make your stay perfect. Amenities: Our grounds and amenities are unmatched and feature a sparkling pool, built-in BBQ gym, business center, clubhouse and dog park. Location: We are where you want to be in the Phoenix Metro. Exactly in the middle of highways 101 and 51, you will be10minutes or less from everything including the airport, camelback corridor, downtown, Tempe, and Old Town Scottsdale. Please keep in mind that there may be very slight road noise on the grounds so if you are very sensitive then you may want to consider another option.

The outside of the property is littered with cigarette butts. Which is sad, because the outside of the building is otherwise nice looking. There was plenty of parking. The inside of the building needed more ventilation. The room didn't smell very good. It looked clean at first glance, but if you look around there were things that weren't clean. The vents and ceiling fan in the room had a lot of dust, and there was quite a lot of dust blown onto the ceiling. There was mold on the bathroom walls (which was wall-papered). There was a roach crawling on the bedroom door one morning. If we weren't already checking out that morning, we would have left at that point. A lot of good potential, the 1 bedroom unit is nice with a small living/dinning and kitchen area. But some things need to be addressed.

They gave me a room code that was supposed to work on the exterior hotel door, as well as my interior room door. The code never worked on both, only one or the other. Upon arrival, code worked to enter the property, but did not work on my door. I had to call the manager, and they did something to make it work. I left to grab dinner, and it started downpouring. When I got back to the property, I was locked outside, as my code no longer worked on the exterior door. I got so soaked, as I was outside in the downpouring tain on the phone with somebody saying "try the code again" or "try another door." I tried the code multiple times, and I tried 6 different exterior doors. None of them worked. I was outside in the pouring rain for about 7-8 minutes before a passerby inside the hotel opened a door for me. I went to my room, and sure enough...the code worked there, but not exterior. While I was talking to the manager, they said they needed to try and contact somebody else for help and that they would call me back. They never called me back. And they never provided me with a code that would have gotten me in the property. Absolutely terrible. Would never stay here again.

I’ve never stayed in such filth. Filth not only in our room but entire building. Bathroom fan needs replacing, gave us a head ache (fan runs when light is turned on) horribly loud and wakes everyone up at night and it’s a guaranteed headache when running ! Will never stay here again and will warn others to stay away! Building needs to be demolished. Woke every morning with a sore throat from the dust mold and dirt in the air. The place smells horrible. We named the place the Rat trap pit! Will be calling VRBO to complain! Total waste of money to stay here and totally way over priced!!! Building should be condemned and demolished! Seriously!! Took pictures and videoed the horrible loud noise of the bathroom fan. No bath towels in our room no towels ever brought to our room and we were given dish cloths for wash cloths! Pathetic! Rugs and floors were filthy, the entire building is filthy and smells. Wall container on bathroom wall for kleenex was empty, we requested kleenex but never received any. I thought VRBO was reputable,, we will never use VRBO again if this is what you call a great place to stay! False advertising to the max!! Would like our money back or a refund. Thanks for the sore throat …the place is a pig pen!

Upon our arrival, the code we had been given didn’t work. Short story, we had to move 3 times that night. Very cheap linens, no staples like salt, pepper, coffee, coffee pot, toaster. Maybe my expectations were too high, but all other VRBOs we have stayed at were well stocked. This is an old hotel made into a multi family apartment. I would say it’s just an old hotel. Bad smell in the elevator, undesirable people hanging out by the door. Only two positives I can talk about. One, the bed is comfortable, and second, the location in Scottsdale is great.

Upon arriving at my destination in Phoenix/Scottsdale via Southwest Airlines, I immediately proceeded to the property. It was easy to locate with the address that I was provided. It was in the perfect location, close to Westworld where I would be spending most of my time at the Arabian Horse Show. I don't know what I was expecting but I found my unit to be on the first floor, and clean and quiet. By looking at VRBO, I could easily tell that this was at the low end of the price points for what I was seeking in acceptable lodging. I really liked the fact that I first noticed that there are no room keys to lose or get "unmagnitized". Instead, you punch in a 4 digit code both to the entry door and to the room lock. Once inside the room, I found the unit to be spacious, clean, and quiet. I always look for safety items such as sprinkling systems, smoke detectors, etc. and found them in the room. My room had a complete kitchenette, two TV sets, lots of storage space (which I don't use), and most importantly, a bathtub with a bar in it so I have something to hold on to while showering. I found a full complement of clean towels and washcloths, and even a laundry should I want to wash my clothes at some point. I could have used a couple of extra rolls of TP but this was not a big issue. Overall, this was one of the better places that I have stayed. It is a great value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Scottsdale at a reasonable price.

The maintenance man Shaun is outstanding as is the manager Luis. The plumbing wasn’t as good as I would prefer. And, other guests smoking marijuana made my first few days less enjoyable. Manager was responsive and fixed the strong skunk smell that was in my room. I recommend to ownership to have a plumbing company do a deep assessment on all fixtures and drains and update where needed to help to prevent any issues that guests may have with it. Again, Luis and Shaun are outstanding, Ritz Carlton type of service
