What you actually get


Three bedrooms (two queen, two single), two bathrooms, open-plan living with high ceilings, timber floors and actual natural light not the fluorescent kind. A proper desk if you need to work, high-speed wifi, and quiet corners for calls that dont involve a bathroom fan for privacy.
Outside: a front courtyard and a balcony off the master, for the days you want fresh air without leaving the building. Two Smart TVs (65 living, 50 master, Netflix on both), plus books, puzzles and games for the nights you dont.



The location (without the spin)
Coburg multicultural, a bit quieter than Brunswick East, and a few minutes from the CBD, studios, offices and public transport. The suburbs built around the old Pentridge Prison complex, now home to cafes, apartments and the odd ghost tour, plus Merri Creek Trail for a walk or ride and Coburg Lake Reserve if you want a park with a BBQ and a view. Saturday mornings, the Coburg Farmers Market runs 8am1pm at the primary school grounds. Not glamorous, just genuinely easy to live in.



Where to Eat (Weve Actually Been)
Coffee first: Wild Timor Coffee on Sydney Road does no-fuss Timorese-inspired brunch with a genuine community heart proceeds help fund initiatives in Timor-Leste. For something more atmospheric, The Glass Den, tucked into the old Pentridge gatehouse, does all-day brunch with a pan-Asian twist in a light-filled, plant-heavy space vegan, vegetarian, kid and dog friendly.
For dinner or drinks, Hotel Lombardo brings Lower East Side energy to Sydney Road slow-fermented pizza, a solid beer and cocktail list, and a beer garden out back. The Post Office Hotel is the classic pub option, in a restored Art Deco building with live music Thursday to Saturday.
