Luxury motel in a great location, close to bars, restaurants and shopping. Really friendly staff. Rooms have stairs to get to the actual bedroom, which is cosy, comfortable with plenty of amenities. Definitely recommend.

I book for 4 people, I was thinking my 17 year old twins will have a bed, instead they have a sofa that it was super uncomfortable, the master bedroom was upstairs and the bed to high and the selling to low, when I when to the bathroom at night I almost fell. To take a shower I had to jump in and ti get out I hurt myself, super inconvenient. The place is nice and well located that is it. No water pressure on the sink.

It was clean and well maintained. The office was to be open until 6pm however it wasn’t. We arrived around 5 and the keys were left in a box. A map of the town in the room would have been nice. You access the property from the back side which is dim and poorly lit.

Wonderful quiet place to relax. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Every part of our stay was great.

Very charming, including the delivered breakfasts. Would stay here again. We stayed on suite 8. It was a bit cramped. Learned while checking out suites 8 and 12 are the smallest by s.f. The other suites are supposed to be roomier.

I got this room for my parents 35th year wedding anniversary and they loved it! They had the best time and loved the room!

We really enjoyed the property. Opening your door to breakfast at your leisure was a wonderful way to start the day. There are a number of tables to sit out at and enjoy your coffee and breakfast. Those same tables and chairs turned into a nice spot for a quiet happy hour or night cap. Downside: not sure how often this occurs but we had a couple staying at the same time that treated the pool like an x-rated show from 5pm until at least 9pm when we packed it in. Clearly they did not adhere to the no smoking as cigarettes and pot were sparked up frequently. Unfortunately we did not feel this warranted an ‘emergency’ call and there is no onsite security. Should this ever happen again, for $300 per night, you can bet it will be an emergency. Side note the property offered nothing but ‘sorry that happened to you’

If you are looking for a unique stay in the Texas Hill Country the Winchester Lodge is an unexpected Gem of a place. Completely satisfied with the experience and hospitality. Will be a return guest as often as possible.

My husband and I found ourselves a piece of paradise. This will be our go to spot whenever we visit Fredericksburg.

We had a lovely visit, look forward to coming back again.

A quick to check out the area with family. Hotel was at a perfect location within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood, great hotel rooms and pool.

We enjoyed nice,cold room. Staff was very sweet. Breakfast was cute and tasty. Beautiful place to stay. Only thing water pressure in shower was no good. But we would definitely stay again.

Lovely Lodge located near Historic Downtown Fredericksburg. The beds are comfy, pool is refreshing and the morning breakfast is delicious. Definitely going to comeback in the fall. Great price and location.

This was the perfect getaway. We tookin some local attractions, relaxed in the pool and enjoyed a couple of first class dinners. Breakfast was delivered to our room and was veey tasty.

Drive up appeal is so cute. When you first walk into the cabin, it is smaller than it appears on the website. It has a lot of chunky furniture that takes up a lot of room. When the bed sofa is pulled out, you have about 18 inches of walkway space to get to the only bathroom, which is downstairs. I would say it’s a little cramped. The king size bed was upstairs in the loft and the bedding was super cute and soft. The only negative is that the bed is really high off the ground and you have to use steps to get into it. I am almost 5’8 and I think anyone that is shorter or older, may have a difficult time getting in and out. Also, one side of the room has a slant ceiling and you have to duck once out of the bed or you will hit your head. There is only one bathroom downstairs and it is in dire need of a makeover. It has an old, very deep Jacuzzi tub, which requires using a step to get in but make sure you hold on to the sides because when wet, there is a fall risk. It is worse when exiting the tub and I would say the bathroom is small and not user-friendly. It is walkable to main street. You will have to walk up a very steep driveway to get to the road. I traveled with my daughters who are 25 and 23 and we made it work for the weekend.

Fantastic stay. So comfortable and relaxing. Perfect place to stay in wine country. The town is very interesting with shops and restaurants. The lodge had some really great extra touches like the music playing/sound machine, rain shower, makeup mirror, breakfast basket, coffee bar, and bath robes. Highly recommend! Suggest picking a low number room by the pool and fireplace.
