Olde House, Chesterfield by Marston's Inns

Great stay! Clean room. Lovely staff. Really good / big breakfast. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The Olde House was quite a surprise and seemed very popular with local people and seemed busy whilst we stayed there for three nights. The Carpark was enormous and during the day was being used by people learning to drive motorcars. Inside the building had many levels to choose from, where to sit. Our bed-room was a good size although the bathroom did not have any grab handles around the bath/shower tub. The food was ordered at the bar and was reasonably good, although I had an expensive main course which came with a stone cold/frozen corn on the cob and a staff member took it away, and rather than give me a fresh one, returned it 50% cooked and still partially frozen. I did not to eat it and I discarded it. Chap I was sat with had ordered a steak on curry night and was told that the restaurant had run out of steak knives? We did like our stay at Olde House and the bedrooms were quiet and clean.

Very helpful staff. Good car parking for hotel guests. The hotel room was clean with good facilities.

I enjoyed my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and tidy. Comfy bed.
