We absolutely loved our stay at Nicholas Inn! The location was perfect for all the activities we had planned to enjoy the city of Rome. Its location makes it a prime spot for getting around town to visit all the wonderful historical sites that Rome has to offer. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and close to several Metro stops. The room was clean, our linens were refreshed each day, it was spacious, and the staff were available for questions as needed. It looks out over a main road so there is lots of activity until the early hours of the morning but once the window was closed, you can easily block any noise out. We enjoyed having it open and listening to the sound of the locals as they ended and began their day. There’s not an elevator and part of the stairway is narrow, so be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. The only thing we didn’t like was the mattresses - not so comfortable but other than that, I highly recommend the inn and would absolutely stay there again.

The location is amazing! We were able to walk to the hotel after getting off the Leonardo Express. All the major sights are within walking distance so the location is the best thing about the hotel. We visited in April it was warm! The check in was interesting, the signage to the actual door is inadequate and we wandered around at first, the hotel is in a residential building. The entry door is on the second floor up the stairs on the left after entering the gate. The hotel managed did come find us in the courtyard after I emailed him that we were tying to find him. The room was clean and the AC worked but again it was April. There is minimal soundproofing and everything is heard. Earplugs are good and we kept our voices low or tried to. All in all I would stay again!

This hotel is located inside a residential building with no operating elevator at the time we stayed July 2026. The ac keeps the room cool not cold...this is typical in Europe. If you're looking for a convenient and safe place to rest after exploring Rome, this is the perfect place. It is located very close to most of the major archeological sites. Walking and exploring Rome was very convenient from this location. This hotel would be good for travelers not vacationer's.
