This is a charming chalet style accommodation more akin to a ski type hotel. The room was lovely and unlike many European accommodations we have stayed at, this had screens on the window and air-conditioning. The breakfast was fantastic and the overall feel of the accommodation was low-key and comfortable with beautiful grounds and walking distance to the lake, shops and restaurants.
The only negative is with respect to value for money. This property was more expensive than a 4-star hotel we had been in the previous night in Davos (Switzerland). If our room had a view to the lake and possibly a balcony, I could almost justify the price.

Beautiful location with views and close to the center of Brienz. Very good shower and toilet facilities.
Having the bathroom separated from the room. Breakfast was ok but simple
