The property very quirky, great stying superb location
From the garage to the property is a good distance a more detailed explanation of location of property could be explained ie opposite Masala Craft Indian restaurant walking away from town

Location outstanding for a plethora of restaurants and cafes. Loved the quirky decor. Lovely outside areas. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen.
Will book again.
Bedroom and bathroom combined so toilet although ‘hidden’ by the side of the shower was in effect in the same room as there were no doors.
The snug chairs looked lovely but were impractical for older couples.

Good location, within walking distance of all major attractions in York. On a street that's busy at night, but had expected this. Beautifully decorated. Lovely big, well-appointed bathroom with good size walk in shower and a free-standing bath. Plenty of towels. Nice fitted kitchen. Netflix on one of the TVs. Use of outdoor space.
Looked great, but lacked a little in comfort. Memory foam mattress was way too soft for my liking, so didn't sleep very well at all. Two bean bag chairs in the snug had looked as though they would be comfortable for watching movies and listening to music, but in reality seemed to be lacking in beans, so didn't provide any back or head support to lounge back so that you ended up sitting 'on' them, rather than 'in' them. In reality I found the snug uncomfortable so didn't use it as I'd expected instead using the small sofa and TV in the front room - with my feet up on the armchair as there was no footstool. Although there was outdoor space it wasn't private.
The kitchen was lovely, but weirdly for a place for no more than two people to stay it only had 2 huge saucepans and a big frying pan which would have been great to cater for a whole family, but were just awkward for one person.

A wonderful place to stay! The communication prior to arrival was spot on, clear and concise. Having the garage to park in made life so easy. Entry to the property, with a key in a lockbox, was easy. The Bookclub looks fantastic, and there is nothing that hasn't been thought of. It was lovely to not have to bring things like tea towels, washing up liquid etc, and the tea/coffee, milk and biscuits was great. It meant we could get settled before having to go to a shop. The bed was super comfy and the out door seating areas were great. The old school nintendo and record player in the snug were a big hit. The property is so central and everything was within a 12 minute walk, with some amzing bars and restaurants on the door step.
The student accommodation across the road meant that we did not get a lot of sleep, with drunk yelling and shouting every night between 2am and 5am. Having the toilet in the same room as the bed was a little off putting.
