Cute bungalows. Hosts were friendly and allowed for late check in (10pm). Lovely garden 😁 Host gave us some fruit off trees in garden+ coconuts! Lovely setting and affordable.
The room smelt really mouldy and old. Mould on ceiling. Abit outdated. Mattress not great.

The location of this hotel is perfect if you are looking to attend the Suan Mokkh retreat and is within walking distance (10+ mins) of 7-11 and the PT gas station if you are in need of some minor provisions as the hotel is quite out of the way from restaurants and Chaiya town unless you have a car.
The water was hot in the shower, a tea kettle was provided, the WiFi was consistent and despite not having blackout curtains, the room stayed reasonably dark during the day when a nap was needed.
Plus the woman who ran the hotel was kind enough to drop me off at the retreat the morning of registration as well.
Without transportation (no rideshare apps were available either to drive somewhere or deliver food) you are basically in the middle of nowhere and should have most of not all needed provisions when you arrive.
The worst part was the bed: as somebody who LOVES extremely firm mattresses and has never had an issue on a Thai bed (hotel or otherwise), the bed provided was less comfortable than the tile floor. It was so hard that I woke up through out the night in pain and barely got any decent sleep during the two nights that I was there. I recommend bringing extra padding/or bedding if you intend on staying the night.
Also, if you’re not driving, schedule a taxi to pick you up prior to arrival or you may find yourself a bit stranded. I wasn’t able to flag down a taxi even after walking to the main highway and standing there for 20 mins.
