About this house rental
Bungalow 5 minutes walk to sea. The bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 1 with double bed in one room and 2 single beds in the other two rooms. We have a travel cot and high-chair if required. The lounge has 2 leather sofas, 40" TV, DVD and Video player. WiFi. Kitchen has built in double electric cooker and electric hob, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and washing machine. The dining area has table and 6 chairs. The bathroom has bath with a separate shower cubical, toilet and sink. There are 2 toilets in bungalow. It has gas central heating. We have just put in new wooden flooring in lounge and hall and new flooring in conservatory in October 2021. Off road parking for 2 cars and we have a large back garden for children to run round in. For more info tel 07773075949. It is suitable for disabled people as all flat but it does not have any hand rails. We provide hand, bath and tea towels but not beach towels. There are 2 pubs/restaurants within 500 yards. There are other restaurants, banks and shops less than 1/2 mile away. It only takes 2 minutes to walk to Highcliffe castle as seen on Mr Selfridge TV series, 5 minutes walk to the sea and 5 minutes walk to Highcliffe castle golf course. We are on edge of new forest. Bournemouth is about 8 miles away. There are lots of golf courses here. Sorry no pets. No smoking. Bournemouth has an international annual air show on for 4 days from Thursday 29th August to Saturday 31st August 2024. Highcliffe castle was seen on last series of Mr Selfridge is just 300 yards away. Mr Selfridge grave is in St Marks church 300yards away. Please be aware there is a £100key/damage deposit required.

The property is nice, with lots of outdoor space (which was welcome with two young children).
Location is great for travelling to beaches and other places of interest. The beds were super comfortable, which is sometimes a big issue I find when staying away!

Outstanding Home, easy access to all areas around Highcliffe.. easy to find and close to enough to walk to the main street with all the shops you need. Excellent restaurant The Oaks a short walk.

Enjoyable stay in the bungalow, comfortable beds, slightly small bathroom but usable, handy having the cloakroom as a second toilet facility. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals. Conservatory was nice especially when the sun came out. Quiet area no road noise although the main road is busy and difficult to cross on foot to get to Highcliffe castle. Tearoom at Highcliffe is not a patch on what it was a few years ago, only good for coffee and cake. Nice walk from Highcliffe Castle to Mudeford Quay with cafes and toilets on the way. Bungalow ideally placed to visit Poole/ Bournemouth/ New Forest etc had some good days out with nice weather. Also handy for Tesco express/ Co-op in Highcliffe a short drive away. Would definitely go again to the property.

Lovely holiday
We had a lovely holiday here.
The bungalow is very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and has a good sized enclosed garden.
It is in a convenient situation with shops and pubs within walking distance. The walk to the beach was rather longer than suggested but no problem for fit adults.

The bungalow is situated in a very quiet residential cul-de-sac, but is close enough to local shops and sea front. All the rooms were very comfortable, we especially enjoyed sitting in the conservatory looking out into the garden. A couple of minor negative points. My mother-in-law (89) wouldn’t use the shower as there was nothing to hold on to. The kitchen could do with a few more utensils and cooking equipment. But overall I would recommend this property for a nice quiet break.

Stayed a week. Top location for beach access and playground (if you are travelling with kids). Beautiful house with modern appliances whoch we can recommend for your holiday.

Great choice for family with young children

Everything we needed was there at the house (including toys for the children) , and it was warm and cozy despite the cool weather outside.
Communication with the owner was clear and all the information we needed for our stay provided.

A nice comfortable bungalow, very well equipped, lovely conservatory and garden. It is in a very good position in Highcliffe, 10 minute walk to the beach via Highcliffe Castle and a 5 minute drive to Avon Beach main carpark.

Home from home
This was our first staycation for many years and we were not disappointed. The property is very comfortable and immaculately clean. Sunny garden ideal for all the family. Location excellent and very easy to visit the many attractions in this area. The beautiful sandy beach is a short walk through Highcliff castle.

Hedgehog Garden!
We enjoyed our stay in Highcliffe. The house was clean spacious and well equipped. Great location close to the beach. We loved the garden with plenty of room for the children to run around. We also spotted a hedgehog and the sun room made an excellent place to view it. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Easy booking and quick confirmation. All details given in time and useful travel route recommendation.
Everything as described and beds comfortable. Everything in kitchen we needed. Nice large garden to relax in. We have teenagers but would be good property with younger children. Very good location. We enjoyed being able to cycle and walk to the beach. Also very good access to new forest and we found off road path into new forest for cycling. Good amenities nearby for shopping.

Silverway, Highcliffe - the perfect retreat.
The property was perfectly situated for our exploration of the New Forest area and offered a fabulous base to return to at the end of a busy day. It was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the large conservatory at the end of the day and the garden was lovely to sit intoo. The local shops and numerous restaurants meant we were well catered for daily and finding Highcliffe Castle was just across the road to the property was the icing on the cake. It's well worth a visit and the guided tour a bonus - apparantly the properties adjacent to the castle are all built on its grounds. We would definitely visit this area again and book at the Silverway property.

3 Day break
The bungalow was just what we were looking for: spacious, comfortable, with a lovely garden. The tranquil setting was great and the location close to the shops in Highcliffe was ideal. We would certainly stay again.

A great holiday
Just back from a wonderful week based in Highcliffe. The five of us really enjoyed staying at this spacious and very well situated bungalow. It was great to be able to get to the long sandy beach on foot, via Highcliffe castle. The children also had a lot of fun playing volley ball and badminton in the garden. The bungalow was also an excellent base for us to visit the surrounding area and we really enjoyed visiting Christchurch and Bournemouth.

Fabulous bungalow in a great location
We stayed for 6days in November.
On arrival, the bungalow was lovely and cosy.
Everything was spick and span and well equipped.
The location, close to Highcliffe Castle, was great for walks along the coast.
Only a short drive to Lymington and Christchurch so perfect for a bit of retail therapy!

Excellent Place To Stay
We had a superb holiday, staying in this lovely property in a very quiet area, only a stones throw from Highcliffe Castle and the beach. The bungalow has an excellent conservatory, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in while relaxing after a day’s sightseeing. We were very lucky with the weather which allowed us to visit many places in the New Forest from this ideally placed property. It is close by to Monkey World, Brownsea Island, Beaulieu, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. The list goes on.
The owners were available to contact although we had no need to do so. We would certainly not hesitate to stay there again if we were to visit the area in the future.

Accommodation
Accommodation was fine,just what we expected and very comfortable.We were unable to make the most of our stay as we all became unwell,one after the other and ended up leaving a day early.We wish to make it clear that our illness had nothing to do with the bungalow or the area but was a severe cold and chest infection which hit us all hard.Thank you Steve and Sue for the use of your bungalow.

Beautful spot
Beautifully situated for bike rides, walks, restaurants etc. The bungalow is lovely. Spotlessly clean throughout with a lovely garden for those summer days. Garage isn't part of the let, so if you take bikes like us make sure you take locks for them. Would definitely recommend.
