We genuinely enjoyed our vacation thanks to the spacious accommodations, excellent pool, and outstanding staff. However,
We stayed at Portvillas by Villa Safiya for seven nights as a family of six adults and one child. Cost to stay at the end of June was €4,000 or €570/night
The villa itself is spacious and comfortably accommodated our group. The overall condition is average but reasonably clean, and the bathrooms were perfectly acceptable. The outdoor area is the property’s biggest strength. The community pool is literally steps from the living room and was excellent for both children and adults.
The hospitality was also a highlight. Staff were friendly, responsive through instant messaging, and quick to help whenever needed. The golf cart transportation within the community was convenient and made getting around the property easy.
The location provides reasonable access to Göcek’s marina and restaurants, although the walk is longer than it initially appears, particularly during the summer heat.
For a property charging premium rates, the villas are beginning to show their age. The kitchen could benefit from newer appliances and better stocking. Don’t expect even basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, or cooking oil.
The pool closes at 7:30 p.m., and guests are asked to leave promptly. During the summer, this felt unnecessarily restrictive since many families enjoy swimming later in the evening.
Entertainment options are limited. Unless you bring your own streaming subscriptions, the television offers very little. We visited during the World Cup and were surprised that such a major international sporting event wasn’t available.
Another disappointment was the lack of complimentary drinking water. Since the local tap water is not recommended for visitors to drink, it would have been reasonable to provide bottled water throughout the stay. Instead, only the initial bottles are complimentary, and additional water must be purchased. For a premium property, this felt unnecessarily cheap.
The biggest issue, however, is the property’s advertising of “beachfront access.” This was one of the primary reasons we booked, but the reality is very different. The property is not beachfront and does not offer direct access to a beach where guests can swim or relax.
Instead, guests are transported to a privately operated beach owned by another resort. What is not disclosed during booking is that entry costs more than 2,500 TL (over €40 per person). For our family of seven, this would have added well over €280 for a single beach visit, JUST TO STEP FOOT ON THE BEACH. Göcek itself has no public beaches, so unless you’re willing to drive elsewhere, nearly every beach option requires an entrance fee.
This advertising creates an expectation that simply isn’t accurate and, in our opinion, borders on false advertising.

Fabulous stay at Port Ville
Spacious, clean, well equipped!
Literally nothing! Was a total winner!

Brilliant!
Beautiful spot to stay, villa was clean with a well equipped kitchen. Clean pool plenty of space to enjoy the sun! Local restaurants, supermarkets & coffee shops all a quick walk. Ufuk our host was friendly & helpful, he drove us to the beach in the golf buggy and organised our taxi to the airport. All round a fantastic time chasing the last of the sun!

Nice
Great location for access to town. Comfortable villa with good facilities, no complaints there. Pool running around the complex attractive and inviting. Local restaurants very good and reasonably priced. I imagine very busy in high season, very quiet when we were there in October but all open.
Quite pricey for what you get, though we were two in a two bedroom villa. Description of the complex indicating access to beach is somewhat misleading. Beach is actually associated with the D-Resort next door and is man made and largely decking and associated restaurant; hardly a beach at all. Portavillas does have access but at a cost of 1875 TL per person per day, (£35pp per day to you and me). Dalyan a better option if you want to laze on sand (350TL for two beds and an umbrella) and swim in the sea.
