As the booking was made we had a very good instinct that this was the right property. From viewing the pictures we were not expecting the Kitchenette, we were able to eat cooked breakfasts and dinners on the balconies and made our trips easier and lighter to focus on activities.
We could not ask for anything more, customer service was exceptional and proves one doesn’t have to stay in big hotels or chains.
I thoroughly recommend this property for couples, families, romantic and holiday. Just a couple more notes, the property is by the beaches, in general it is recommended to rent a car for the island, there are buses but they run infrequent times and taxis are costly. The apartments are about 4 km from Lixouri, the main port from the mainland connected by argostoli.
Personally I found the driver in and from the port comfortable and happy to be off the beaten track. Walking to and from the beaches is easy but I wondered how people without cars get around the island.
There are buses but they are infrequent and only from main towns. They may give an hour or two in places before returning and taxis are expensive.
Choose this apartment if you rent a car, it cost 36 euro to refill the rental from driving all over the island over four days and made our lives easier. Or chose this apartment if your happy with the location, beaches and surrounding areas for your trip but if don’t want to visit other places, without a rental very difficult and expensive.
