A cosy traditional stone cottage, with double glazing, energy saving, effective modern electric heaters in every room, off road parking for one car (a rarity in Barmouth) with the town and harbour just a few paces away. 3 Bedrooms - two double, one twin Family bathroom and en-suite Sleeps 6 Double glazing Off road parking - rare in Barmouth Recently decorated Free WiFi Flat-screen TV Pet friendly (£35 supplement per dog applies, sorry no puppies, maximum of two dogs) The cottage enjoys fabulous views of Barmouth Bridge, The Mawddach Estuary and the mountains beyond from all the bedroom windows. Just a few doors down from the famous 'Last Inn' so very convenient to enjoy a cold beer and lovely pub meal. It has a sunny west facing patio and the beach is just around the corner. ACCOMMODATION DOWNSTAIRS Open plan Kitchen/Lounge/Dining Area With a view of the patio from the kitchen window, Barmouth Bridge, with the mountains in the foreground. The fully fitted kitchen has a: Ceramic hob Extractor Electric oven/grill Toaster Microwave Fridge with freezer box All the necessary cooking utensils In the carpeted sitting area there is: A 3 seater leather settee Footstool Tub chair & feature electric fire In the dining area is a table, window seat & 4 chairs for dining. For entertainment, there is a 24" flat screen HUMAX SMART TV with Freesat. UPSTAIRS 1ST FLOOR All bedroom have carpets and oil filled radiators. Double bedroom 1 This room has a: Double bed Built in wardrobes with dressing table Chest of drawers Bedside tables 18” Freesat TV, cottage chair and enjoying a lovely view of the harbour. Bathroom: Brand New bathroom in 2021, with matching hi-gloss units and wet wall finishing. Back to the wall concealed cistern and WC Vanity fitted washbasin with drawers L-shaped bath with pan shower overhead, plus handheld shower attachment. Wet wall panelling and heated towel rail UPSTAIRS 2nd FLOOR Master Double Bedroom with en-suite Brand New in 2020, en-suite bathroom with build-in vanity wash hand basin & WC and shower. Double bed Chest of drawers Bedside table Dressing table 18” Freesat TV, and enjoying a lovely view of the bridge & mountains Bunkroom 3 Adult size bunk beds Wash hand basin Feature window seat Chest of drawers. There is a lovely view of the bridge & mountains from this room. OUTSIDE Penlan Cottage has its own parking space, a big bonus in Barmouth! It has a sunny west facing patio with a bench and looking towards the bridge & harbour with the beach is just round the corner. Nearby: Set on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park, Barmouth is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. For those with families, miles of sweeping sandy beaches can be found all along the coast. If you're into cycling or horse riding, there are numerous scenic places to ride. This is a walker paradise with many glorious walks plus Cader Idris just a short drive away! If you're not the active type, there are lots to do in Barmouth with its independent shops, pubs, and eateries or how about a ride along the coast on the scenic Cambrian Coast Railway? Come and explore this amazing area. Mid Wales is truly stunning and a 'well-kept secret' by discerning globetrotters. Come prepared for all conditions, it does rain sometimes! Cot and high chair on the premises if required, please bring your own cot bedding. Some of our properties are fitted with professionally installed and connected EVCPs (Electric Vehicle Charging Points) for the safe charging of electric cars. The use of an extension lead into a property that is plugged into a 3-pin domestic supply is strictly prohibited, due to the risk of fire by overloading the domestic electric circuit. Additionally, our owner's home insurance may be invalid if a fire was to be caused by such an act. We suggest that guests with EV's ensure that they are aware of the local charging stations before they book with us.
